Some pallets may have more than a single marking, and it is important to remember that an unsafe marking will usually supersede a safe one. In general, safe pallets will carry the DB, KD, EPAL or HT markings, meaning that they haven't been treated with dangerous chemicals
Pallets especially the ones made in china are coated in unregulated pesticides and are full of VOCs. Personally I don’t think this is a bad use for one but wear PPE while working with them and don’t use them for projects that will have a lot of day to day contact, the worst use for pallets is I’ve seen is for headboards.
Just my two cents pallets can be used to transport nasty chemicals or be coated in some harsh stuff to prevent rotting/insects eating them so bringing them into your home isn’t always the best decision. I use them myself but only from places I personally know and can verify their condition, it’s a silent hazard that you’d unknowingly have in your home for potentially years exposing you to harmful stuff. Stay safe everyone and keep craftin
At this point considering time, effort and risk you would have been better off buying a new shelf (could probably find a good cheap one at TJ maxx or something), doesn't matter if you were tight on money 😅 Or even using a buy nothing group.
There's a lot of nice online designs for turning a palate into a bench, bet there's plenty of designs you could check out for pretty much anything to get some inspo
I think it looks great.❤️ When my husband and I were first married, we did this. We shopped goodwills, took free stuff and looked for stuff sitting on curbs. He worked at Sam’s club and brought home old displays and crates etc. Back then they threw out stuff. Our stove and refrigerator were thrown out back and he brought them home. They worked. Were just dented. Our son’s bunk beds were thrown out. A huge wood swing set. So much more. He worked there for 35plus years and just retired. Check out back of businesses.⭐️ They may let you have whatever is back there.
If you want to know why people tend to not use them, it's because they have a tendency to rot because they are made up of scrap 2x4s most of the time that have already been previously waterlogged
You look like a clown 🤡 He removed the center plank (#5) because the entire pallet is being used as a book shelf and that plank absolutely obstructs the use of the middle "shelves". Common sense ain't so common, IG 😬
@@wanderlustaesthete4117 its a different pallet, the on ehe brings back is much more square and clean, and even has 9 boards on the other side compared to the 8 on the one near the dumpster.
Man, love this style but living with a significant other who works at a high end furniture store, we don't see eye to eye. Her style is classy traditional. I just find it sooo boring.
Making a floating shelf ❌️ Hanging a pallet on the wall and *calling* it a floating shelf ✅️ Let's be real, you did nothing to that thing besides painting it, and you regreted that 😂
Bro did you use a normal drill? That shit shouldn’t have taken more than 5, get yourself a hammer drill and some good masonry bits (a lot of them can get blunt easily so get a decent brand and buy multiple).

What are the UNSAFE markings?
“the whole process took 30 minutes, but i won’t make you watch that” what a real one 🤧
Yeah well if he used the proper drill bits it would’ve been a 2 minute job
is that a double joke? "real one" cause the vid is a reel? lol

I love the shade of green is so gorgeous!! I love how it came out and it fits so nicely in that space!!

It's because of the toxic chemicals that are used to preserve the wood used in making the pallets
2 different pallets 🤔

I like it, and the green is the perfect color
How is bro so creative
Love the Green

I love the green color
Love it!
Love the green💚
That’s pretty cool how the pallet he “found” magically transformed into a much nicer one.
I noticed that immediately too
I love the pallet shelf!! I use odd wood pieces as shelves tables and stools it’s good vibes
This is so good 🙏🏾✨
I’ve done that b4. It looked so good in my kitchen. Everyone would stop and look at it.
I’ve built bars decks and more with pallets you’d be surprised what creativity can do
Where did you get the couches? Those are freaking AWESOME
Depending on your body type they're really a weird sit though
I like the green it compliments the chairs
That’s not even the same pallet you showed at the beginning of the video
The ones that are made for actual shipping long distances are made out of extremely good wood. The problem is they usually paint that wood blue
Spends 100 hours a month on UA-cam.. but didn’t look up how to use a Masonry bit with a hammer function.
The basket hoop is beautiful

Yo your builds are soo cool and definitely inspire me to become more creative!
Most people don’t use pallets as shelves because they haven’t thought of it yet
I’m glad he didn’t leave it wood color the green is so pretty
noguchi table makes any interior way better
Mold?
U should make it a giant tic tack toe board
He switched palets. When he found it there where 5 planks on the bottom end when he painted it, it only had 4😂
It’s the same you blind?
You look like a clown 🤡

I think the basketball hoop is my favorite
Dude pallettes are like hella money in Germany lol
hommie 1000% has/has had bedbugs
“Floating shelf situation”
Best diyer in the world keep out the good ❤
my mom built a picnic bench out of pallets
Good luck with the termites
Did he do some DIY before he brought it into the apartment? That's really cute.
🤷🏽♂️ man is back
Cool but you showed two different pallets in the video 🤔
I use trash as furniture but live in a loft that costs 10k a month
You should love all that stuff off the walls a bit it will look nicer
How much is rent here ?!?
the pallet in the trash and the one you brought inside are definitely not the same pallet lol
Shouldve stained it to match the floor
“Find” “Free Material” . . . You need to tell people that they can’t just take this stuff as well
i see you are using a screwdriver you need to get a hammer drill to drill into the brick much easier next time
I think you need a hammerdrill
Don't do this, you'll get termites.
How does this guy make money?
Man, love this style but living with a significant other who works at a high end furniture store, we don't see eye to eye. Her style is classy traditional. I just find it sooo boring.
“I’ve never drilled into brick” - bro how inexperienced are you, do you not know how actual materials work and not paper and air
I mean, yeah. That's a palette bolted to your wall. Looks like shit, but design doesn't seem to be your strong suit, so have fun!
His house must be dirty
Those are 2 different pallets 😂
Stain the next one 🤓
Because they're toxic.

its not even the same pallet as the one he found either
Hello not to be that guy but first
They are literally made with the worst quality of the absolute cheapest shit they can get
