100 % agree. My biased opinion (born at the same time and place as the band itself) is that they are the greatest band of all time. Unparalleled inspiring lyrics and upbeat music have set the tone for my life. Only Led Zeppelin, RHCP, and the Stones may have as many excellent songs, but I doubt it still.
They made the promise 30+ years ago that their music would not change one iota.. They kept that promise. Thats so rare… Yeah they have changed drummers a few times or more, but imagine playing that every day on tour, thats a beating on your body non stop and brutal on your body. Other tan that they are still touring Im going in September. They have a lot more gray hair and some more wrinkles but they have maintained against the grain. Legendary. Promise made, promise kept.
I wish Bad Religion would release a massive multi-disc retrospective dvd/blu-ray of live performances spanning their entire career. It could include shows like this one and many others. I especially like seeing them play random songs from their back catalogue that they don’t often play live anymore. A lot of my favourite live footage of Bad Religion is from the 1990s up to about the year 2000, this is what I look for most often on youtube when I’m looking for live BR videos. They seem to have a big following in Germany and the energy at those shows is always fantastic. I just wish I could own high quality copies of these gigs on dvd.
They have a lot of really boring performances. This is genuinely one of the better ones in terms of discog span. They mostly play the same shitty set list over and and over again now.

This is a great live performance. Graffin has such great vocals. He’s really kept his vocals in tack as he has aged, which isn’t easy to do for many rock singers.
I saw these guys with my best buddy in sacramento in the 90s, very fun concert... I miss those days, I remember just being packed and drenched in sweat.
Danke fürs hochladen dieser großartigen Show!
Beste Lehrerin
@irlan hakim brother, you are welcome to your beliefs. Proselytizing in the comment section of a punk band's live show is not going to get you amywhere, though.
Every single time I listen to any live version of Generator with Brooks on drums I'm wondering what the hell he's trying to do at the end when the last "woah's" are done. No other BR drummer has played it like this, and Brooks does it consistently, so it must be a deliberate choice he made. But why tho? I think it sounds really bad. Which is weird when he's probably the best drummer the band has had. 58:45 is the part I'm talking about.
No offense: everytime I read these kind of comments I realize that commercial success has its price as musical connoisseurs stand in the crowd and think about (non)sense of a freaky drumm-fill lasting a few seconds during a 1hour+ concert...maybe it fits his own style and he likes it...personal expression and such...Punk!
@@lordvonundzu4348 In this particular case it straight up comes across as him turning into a 12 year old kid who had too much sugar and is taking it out on the drum kit as hard and fast as he can. What is he expressing exactly? Also, I'm not "standing in the crowd". My comment is built on watching countless hours of BR live footage from various concerts at various points in time with different band members, giving me ample opportunities to notice these things. Let me ask you a question from genuine curiosity: If you go to 58:27 where the oozin' aahs end and focus on listening to the drums, do you then legitimately think it sounds _good_ when he turns into an ape for 5 seconds at 58:46? To me there are no technical details, he's literally just going fast and as hard as he can. The singular reason I don't suspect him of being coked to the eyeballs is that he only does it in this one short section of this one song. If I understood what he was trying to do with it, maybe I would mind it less. I just don't. All I get from him is "ME BANG DRUM AAAAAAH!!!".
Old songs are way better with Pete and Bob...wackerman is great studio drummer but too much evil demons in his arms )) too much disposable fills at live performance thou...
Second best BR lineup. No Brett even though he was part of the OG squad I felt Hetson and Baker was plenty. Brooks Wackerman on drums was epic. They fit well.
Haha, Brian Baker is way out of tune and doesn't even notice 'til about the 2nd chorus. It looks like Hetson had to tell him to tune the guitar. Guess this was before Baker's got-clean phase. Not trying to be mean, love the guy.
Or maybe he forgot to switch guitars and played in a different tuning. The same happens at the start of Struck a nerve, only he unplugs immediately and switches guitars.
I know right? LA is burning is one of their best songs. I don't think it was famous yet. Cause LA is burning is from Empire strikes first which would only have been released 4 years before this concert.
The video is too chaotic, cuts every scene on 3-4 seconds, every take is a close up, no need for that when you have so energetic fast punk songs. Making me sick.
It's not out of tune it was deliberately tuned down because they aren't playing in a bubble it's hot they are playing songs back to back with sometimes no break at all and don't forget they are older and even with all of that they are killing it so instead of talking shit ask yourself what the fuck have you ever done that anyone would even care enough about to critique? If the answer is nothing then keep your crap to yourself.
In the late 80s, I would literally sit there with a dictionary and go through their lyrics. My vocabulary expanded.
I still do this lol
Bring the dissident from slumber my friend!
Entropy: a measure of disorder
This guy has always had such a unique voice he doesn't have to scream and it's still great
Yes! Yes! Yes! I agree and I said this many times before... Right on and rock on🤘
No band in any genre has written as many great songs as BR.
Agreed, their lyrics are fantastic
Finding this band was unbelievable for a list of reasons--the amount of Top Level songs they have is one of them. 🤘
Agree.
their body of work is unparalleled in this or any genre
100 % agree. My biased opinion (born at the same time and place as the band itself) is that they are the greatest band of all time. This is probably their best pro-shot show on UA-cam. Best sound, in tune backing vocals, best editing. Great setlist.
Absolutely love this setlist!
00:54:30 Along The Way
00:55:54 Generator
best band in the world!
@irlan hakim Jesus was Jew also Mohammed
Saw them back in the days, I think it was 1992, with NOFX as supporting Band - one of the best concerts of my life

Dude what a rock solid performance. My god
54:30 it's Along the Way
ab 55:55 Generator
Да что ты говоришь
omg this version of Along the Way is amazing!!!
This is my favorite lineup. Brooks kills it
Офигеть, Новые Темные Времена просто бомба! Прямо отсыл к раннему хардкор - творчеству БР 88 года.. просто мощнейшая песня с великолепной мелодией!!

Struck a nerve such unhuman song 😱
Brooks Wackerman is a great drummer but he really brought some "this drummer is at the wrong gig" energy to Bad Religion during his tenure lol
So rockin'!
back in my days a kid got his t-shirt banned from school as it showed the BR sign, can u imagine :)
