I’m sure you know this now not good to transport propane tanks on their side thank you for all your help with your tips and information. I enjoy your channel sending you positive energy from Malibu California.
I've learned to use non-alcohol gas in my generator (and gas tractor). If the alcohol gas sits for any length of time in your unit, it will dissolve your gaskets. And, the non-alcohol gas will store for a longer time too. It is expensive and harder to find, but your equipment will thank you.
Can't wait to hear how you guys like the Westinghouse. We had the 2000w model a few years ago and it was great. You should have no problem with your AC with that one as we could run our 15000btu AC of the 2000 (but we had added the microair easystart). I'm guessing that instructions probably mentioned that you should make sure you do the brakein process on the gen (including an oil change) before putting any heavy loads on it like the AC.
Yes! Thank you! And we are really liking it so far. It seems to start up super easy and works well so far, hopefully it stays that way!
Great video and also shows reality of trying something out for first time!
Thank you! Some more reality that we didn’t even know about until after this video was out….we lost the remote I was so excited about 😂 might have thrown it away with the box 😭
Love your videos! Are you using this same generator with your new Brinkley? Does the Brinkley have a 18,000 BTU main a/c unit? What are your recommendations for a generator for the Z3100 if we want to at least run 1 of the a/c units?
thank you!! and yes, this is the same generator we have, although we rarely use it now that we have solar. However, I would still recommend this generator if you want one to run your A/C, it'll be able to handle 1 of the units at a time on the Brinkley! (and yes Brinkley has the 18,000 BTU main a/c unit)
Your guys are awesome
I use a camco filter on the hose then a brita pitcher filter and its ok.
Do you still have or use the generator since you went solar?
We ran the water from the fresh tank through our Berkey filter and drank it
Ooh see we just have a Brita filter and I’m not sure I’d trust that as much as a Berkey.
@@wildrvlife i think I'd agree with that choice but check out zero water filter, they're more brita size but closer to berkey strength
@@melissashoffner3214 oh thank you!! Will definitely have to check that out!
Use water filters for your fresh water tank. You will be good
You will likely need an easy start for the AC.
We added one to the living room ac and it has been great.
what about use in winter ? canada region
We haven’t traveled through Canada, but have been in some fairly cold places around freezing temps and the generator has always worked great!
Berkey
If you guys are full timing just sanitize your fresh water tank every 3-4 months and you should be ok to drink
I, like you guys, brush teeth, shower and use tank water for boiling stuff but never drink it justvin case.
I do Not Drink the water ever from my RV, I am just that kinda person though
I buy water and fill my jugs for me and my pet's
That's what we do now! We've just got a 3 gallon jug that we fill
