The Sruti Youth Group recently interviewed the renowned Hindustani vocalist, Smt. Veena Sahasrabuddhe, after her concert in Philadelphia on October 23rd, 2010. She sat down to talk with us about her Khayal style of singing and musicianship under Gwalior Gharana.

Wow. She talks about the course on Appreciation of Indian Classical Music that she taught. And that completely changed my life. I had no idea about that music, but a bunch of us college students got our first view into a wonderful world. I felt like I got a key, like Alice, into the wonderland of Hindustani Classical Music. You are no more Ma'am, but I have continued to learn music ever since for 15 years now! Thanks!
