Picked mine up a few weeks ago and couldn't agree more about it being comfortable, I did 210 miles ride this weekend and it was no big deal. For reference I'm about 6'3 with boots and 195lbs. Thanks for the video
Appreciate the confirmation and comment! Thanks for watching! I hope you continue to enjoy it…I have the 5 things I dont like video coming soon, curious to see your thoughts on that one when it comes out.
Cool! Agree. Gee straight roads and no traffic. Envious. Agree, the bike feels faster and handles better than it should based on the spec sheet. BTW, the key is not the horse power, it's the torque, 78Nm at 6,800. I bought black lol. the yellow 8R looks cool!
Thanks for watching. Well it sounds like a parallel twin, nothing too different or crazy about it. In my opinion it doesn't sound as good as say my Triumph Street Triple, the 3 cylinder sounds better in stock form, but with that said it doesn't sound bad either, definitely a bike that I would put an exhaust on to give it just a bit more growl. Hope that helps.
In this video I am wearing a REV’IT! Spark Air Jacket, I get all of my gear through MotorCycleGear.com, here is a link to the jacket, it comes in blue or black. bit.ly/48ps9I9
Thanks for sharing. Quick question, how does it feel when going over 70+ mph 80+ ? How this compare against similar bikes?. I’ve read that the wind push it a little bit , more than similar bikes, and it is horrible/hard to handle.
At 70ish it felt fine, at 80 it felt fine too but i was mostly going in a straight line, never went much faster than that. Ill say this, it doesnt feel as stable as my Street Triple RS (both are naked bikes so no “aero” help) at freeway speeds or above 60, but at no point in me riding the GSX-8S did I feel that it was horrible or hard to handle, hope that helps, thanks for watching.
Why did you continually use the clutch lever in all gears? You do realise it has a quick shifter fitted as standard. And, I noticed you pulled in the clutch lever to slow down & not use engine braking & quick shift down gears. Admittedly, in the first 2 gears it definitely not the smoothest under slow acceleration, but man, if you give it some throttle, it rips your shoulder sockets out… I hope you tried that at some stage.
Thanks for watching and the comment, two things, one, the bike was basically brand new and not broken in so I didnt push it as hard, but later on in testing it I did push it harder (another video coming soon), as for your clutch question, watch my 5 things I dont like video on the GSX, should answer most of your questions.
Love the California rides, seems like a great trip on some nice bikes
As a GSX-8S owner I completely agree with this list! Especially the overall size and balance.
Totally agree with your bike colour comments 👍

I think it looks better than the "R"
Sounds like you enjoyed the GSX-8S. I like how it looks but to your point I think its a step down from my Street Triple.
Yeah I think its more a Trident competitor rather than Street Triple. More similar in price too.
Agreed much more inline with the Trident.
Thanks for the vid. What's your take on the induction/exhaust note?
