White is such a difficult color to show off on camera. When I did my Toa Mata TeBuilt series, Kopaka was VERY difficult to work with due to my lighting. Basically I have three lights for my set, Two behind either side of the Camera and one to the left shining behind the figure to eliminate as much shadow as possible (Makuta didn't like that when I recorded him. lol). I had to turn off the back light when recording Kopaka because otherwise he just looked like a Toa shaped light bulb with a trans blue arm sticking out of it. Takanuva was easier to film due to all the gold (and a black cape I gave him) but I think I still had to remove the back light like I did with Kopaka. Your Toa Mistika blows my Toa Mata out of the water and rightfully so since the Mistika/Phantoka are the Toa at their peak. I love Takanuva's wings and the chest armor looks amazing. My one complaint would be the arms, particularly where the hands connect. This is the same issue I had with the Toa Hagah. It's just up and down wrist articulation with no side swivel. It's a preference thing for me in all honesty.
Lego went all out on the Vehicles with the phantoka, and while that was a great return to form, the builds for the riders were lacking, despite being full sized characters. But in the first couple of series, mounts and vehicles were a way for matoran to get into the fray alongside the toa. In this sense, I always thought itd be interesting to see Takanuva return to the role of chronicler sometime before the final battle, but get some kind of mount or mecha to continue fighting along side the toa mata.
As much as I love the titan set I think I like this more, makes me wish he had one of the vehicle sets with like an Ussanui 2 or something Alternatively a titan Takanuva scale Ussanui would have been neat, and perhaps a bit silly
Loving that Pearl Gold avohkii! Mind if I ask where you got that cast? I’m looking to get a keetyellow Miru for a moc and either getting one straight from a resin cast or using a resin one to paint would definitely be preferable to painting an official Miru to me at least
2:21 I also have an odd number of these pieces! it's so weird lol I also have an odd number of brutaka's gold piraka feet for some reason. I don't know how!
i see that you used a wave 1 hero factory foot, how did you connect it without wobbling? cuz i see that you inserted the ball socket in the middle gap of the foot
@@skybirdmakes i see, if you can find it and share the vid title i would be greatful, been crushing my brain matter trying to use those feet with vertical sockets in them, the axle only allows for horizontal and it limits the mobility
I absolutely LOVE the wing design!

personally I think light shining through that mask is better, since you can then light it up for real lol
The legendary Chad Toa returns.

The one Toa that had a flying vehicle in 2003 and they didnt give him one in 2008. Missed opportunity.

The wings are also super majestic
This mask was from Socketball a few years ago, and thank you!!
The wings are quite cool, but I'm not sure about the proportions. He's kinda built like the Bayformers Starscream.

I think I've made a video covering it, but I'll have a go through my videos, the trick is a simple but clever one I discovered over 10 years ago

@@skybirdmakes did you find the video or can tell me how you did it?
So if you made a regular size takanuva, does that mean you're gonna make a titan sized ignika?
Wouldn't that be a blast?
@@skybirdmakes it would, I love seeing titans
