It's not desperate cuz RDJ was always going to come back..people just expected him to come back as Ironman. If they were desperate he would've come back as Ironman and would've brought Thanos back as the big bad..not desperate..not a money grab cuz this whole franchise is a money machine so it's making money either way with a title like Avengers or Spiderman
The only trouble about the bad reviews quoted in the Megalopolis trailer is that they aren't real. Vulture did a story about how those quotes weren't part of any of the reviews the trailer suggests.
I'm of two minds. I think bringing RDJ back does feel a bit desperate, but on the other hand actually could provide some great storytelling potential if done right. Marvel can only survive so long on cameos, etc. They need to focus on telling great stories and making them cohesive again.

I watched this show and I thought it was just pretty good. I loved the family dynamic so much, but the actual "marvel" part of the show fell pretty flat for me. I would seriously just take a straight up sitcom type show with her family and friends cause that is big time the strong point.

My theater worker story was we went to see a movie. I forget which one it was but the theater wasn’t working and it was the only theater they were showing that movie at that time so we told the theater worker that sound and picture isn’t working right in the theater room, so he suggested we could either get a refund and come another day or we can watch Moonfall a week early from the release so we chose moonfall lol

Yes they had a couple of sub-optimal choices in the story, especially when it came to the run time and which scenes should have gotton more time, but Kamala, her familiy and her friends where amazing and truly joyus. It was a happy place, feel good series.
You don't appreciate Parks and Rec without the setup of season 1 through your first watch, but rewatches after, yes you can skip. Its a season still trying to find it's footing, after that it's off to the races as one of the best shows of all time.

I think Marvel should have flashbacks during the film to Doom’s origin and that’s how we get RDJ without the mask and that’s how we also get Doom with the mask in the present and how we also don’t waste the aura of Doctor Doom

We saw and all Female tribe and while granted that was the worst episode in Tv History it was not bad because it was all women. I dont understand what's gay about caring for your family.
If they ever made Young Avengers Ms Marvel shouldnt be leader ever! You can have her as instigator, primary force behind creating this team, but she would be wrong choice for real OFFICIAL leader. Her personality, her temperament is all wrong for that position. She could be heart of the team instead, source of hope and drive when needed, but some else should be leader.
You make some great thouht out points there about her personality and temperment. I can literally see that being one of the B or C plot conflicts as a more leader type either tries to assert themselves or struggles with being the lead but the team being inspired by the "heart" to do somethings counter to their commands.
Regarding RDJ... it was that talk with Jodie Foster, hinting at his excitement about "his next thing" while discussing his time with Marvel and his ability to create different characters. He had already told her whatever it was. At that point, I figured he was coming back one way or another.
I loved the first season of Ms. Marvel. And I actually enjoyed The Marvels. Not saying it was peak phase 5. It was a Chapek film. It was rushed. It could have been alot better. But I still enjoyed it. So, a season 2 would be great. Especially if we go into the mutant thing in season 2. I saw something about them pulling this Megaopolis trailer already. Apparently there was some shenanigans that happened.

John overrates this show. The character is wonderful as is her family dynamics...... But he never refers positively to that stupid story for the villains. The action was not great. The CGI was worse than secret invasion. The ideas of going back into her families past was good, but poorly executed. I pretty much hated the 2nd half of the show. Though the high school little battle against the govt squad was fun

If the guy in Agatha turns out to be a reincarnated William "Wiccan" Kaplan (ne Maximoff), they can toss him in too, and if they're up for the CGI, they can consider Skaar (son of Hulk) instead of Hulkling, Viv and/or Wiccan.

I actually really liked Francis Ford Coppola's new trailer for megalopolis. It hooked me line hook and sinker. The imagery the story looks so captivating an enticing and wanting to draw me in and every single shot looks fantastic. I hate to say what the critics were saying for his previous films but maybe this is ahead of his time the cinematography looks so good it reminds me of a little bit cloud Atlas by the wachowskis
Idk if there doing this but there is a comic where doom tricks tony stark & switches bodies with him but later Tony wins I wonder if in this universe Doom succeeded.
RDJ will stay as DD for little while in the MCU!!! Because it will be a very successful character, so it will start has villain and then will be a more anti-hero! Helping the heroes and became a hero himself!!
Hey John concerning the sequel trilogy , I kinda wish they just show all these new heroes and their in a future state and their lives all suck and failed lives, then they just killed them off epic-ly and then have the fandom say whyyyyyy; And you can tell them "that's just how they're lives was heading, it's completely consistent with it". Well considering that he wanted to play Doom years ago before he became Tony Stark and now he's finally getting a chance to do so he's come full circle basically just the multiverse way who else could've played Doom especially after they tried twice the guy from nip tuck and I forgot the guy's name from the other version with Michael B Jordan in it.

I really dig the idea of white vision being the mentor of the young avengers a la red tornado in young justice. it's almost perfect
Mentor and contributor to the roster. Him exploring his memories from fake-Vision about being a parent and making Viv Vision (or in an adapted approach creating Victor Mancha) would be a good reason to connect him to the show.
