- Here's an overview of the Sunriver/Deschutes River Trail to Bend, OR.
The trail starts at the north end of the Sunriver Resort area. The first couple miles are a paved bike path called Lava Benham Trail. After crossing a wood bridge over the Deschutes River, the trail turns into a single-track dirt path called the Deschutes River Trail.
There are direction signs throughout the path and the total route is under 20 miles to downtown Bend. 70% of the total course is dirt and rideable for most cyclists. There is a rocky section for a couple miles that is difficult (black diamond), but easy to walk your bike through if riding becomes too challenging.
The Deschutes River Trail ends on a paved bike path that takes you to downtown Bend.
We took the trail from Sunriver Resort to Bend River Brewing Company www.bendbrewin...
Filmed with a GoPro Hero 10 Black.

I am from Florida and discovered Bend 15 yrs ago and since that time have been there 6 times. There are 5 reasons I am addicted to Bend and the trails are the top reason. The route from Sunriver to Bend includes a portion of my favorite morning walk/ride. This video is awesome because you simply pieced together the entire experience but spent the time to grab different angles and edited it to show the beauty and fun of what it is like to bike along the Deschutes River. You even caught the rafters about ready to paddle through the Big Eddy. Dude thanks for spending the time to edit this video and you just cost me a bunch more money because I am now online booking yet another trip to Bend next summer - LOL.
Ahh man! That means so much. We had a blast on the ride and it truly was one of the most beautiful and epic outdoor experiences I've ever had. I'll be back there again in June so look for another video then! Enjoy your trip and thanks for the thoughtful comment!
This looks like a really fun and scenic trail, and I would love to try it out. You captured some really nice shots, I can imagine how many stops you had to make to film them. I see you posted the video in June, is that when you biked? The weather looked gorgeous, perfect for outdoor activities!
Thanks for the kind words! We rode in June (toward the end of the month). It was a bit chilly when we started the ride, but honestly perfect weather. Beautiful landscape and it's remote without beyond too far out from civilization. It's a "must ride."
Am I to guess the route? Absolutely zero info in the beginning. Moving on to a better video...
Route is in the description. Video is just the highlights my friend.
@@mattervideo thanks, but I have already pedaled it. Peace out ✌️
