Next time I'm in Australia, I'm going to buy u a beer! My son's one didn't come with any instructions,,, you vid was perfect. Thankyou From Phil in New Zealand..
If you’re seriously going to do water crossings, may I suggest that you sikaflex all joins in the snorkel, otherwise you might just suffer from a little water ingress. Not really the best thing for a diesel. Other than that, keep up the great work with your videos!! 👍
Good video, man! I'm looking to put a Snorkel on my 2019 Nissan Frontier (US built), but didn't really know what type of snorkel to buy or how different it would be from the Navara.
So i have just installed another brand ebay snorkel but it is from the same factory so 100% identical... One thing I came across is, no matter how good the ram head is, you will get some water ingress, the prefilter with internal tines has a pretend one way water trap, theoretically it should let water out but not in.. installing the snorkel I noticed that there is no way for water to escape except in the filter/engine. I have noticed that the d22 airbox has a location at the bottom that allows the rubber water trap to slip on. It will just need drilling to allow the water through. Might be worth looking into
Hey mate! Sprry didn't see your comment come through! It honestly beats me why they do it. Particularly given that the intake is now more exposed to the elements, rain, etc, I'd have thought the more filters the better? Not sure sorry mate, all the kits just seem to come that way 😬
I got an ocam snorkel for my d22 a few weeks back and had nothing but trouble while fitting it. Would not recommend them to anyone of my mates that’s for sure
That's a bummer man, maybe you got a bung template? Surprised myself how well it went on really, did you get it on in the end? Whatd you have to do to get it to fit?
@@ap4x4 well because I just got a navara last week and it come with the Snorkel but the guy Didnt have the template for it. And no one sells them online just by itself

Hey mate, yes there are. The Genuine snorkels like the one on my car don't require the indicator to be moved. They either go under genuine or TJM/airtec. Here's a link to one I found for example. Same situation here
Having never fitted a snorkel, why do eliminate the pre air filter an not come thru the fender strait from the pre filter. Thanks awaiting your reply.

How did you get the plastic bit through the guard that connects to the filter
Ever figure it out? Can’t get mine through either😅
Just finished installing mine, $129 delivered. Mine didn't go in as delivered though definitely some mods to be done or its almost impossible
Hey mate! I had zero issues with this one, what kind of issues did you face? Feel free to elaborate so viewers might know what to expect! 🙂
Does anyoe know where i can get a template for this online? ive lost mine
I imagine if you contacted OCAM they should be able to help in some way or another. Worth a shot at least 🙂
As someone who has put a snorkle on without a ratchet spanner. GET A RATCHET SPANNER!!
I can only imagine the pain and cramps in your arm after 10 minutes of turning that bastard without a ratchet spanner 😂 RIP your arm dude!
@@ap4x4 hahaha yes that was 4 years ago and to this day i still have nightmares about it🤣
What size ratchet spanner do you need?
@@ChrisEgan86 Exactly, almost a waste of time mentioning it without giving the size.
I have to ask is morts car your old car?

I have a question regarding the air sensor what is it used for and is it needed as I do not or at this stage have not located mine on my D22
If you've got the 3.2 engine you might have the mechanical injector pump so it wont have a maf sensor
Are there any snorkels for the D22 which doesn’t make you move the stock placement/position of the indicator
