One thing that surprises me is that the audience claps for Ustad Fateh Ali Khan Saheb and Ustad Amjad Amanat Ali Khan Saheb for various Taans, Sargams etc. and I am very happy that the audience acknowledges the mastery of these two Ustads, but how come the audience shows no reaction to Ustad Sajjad Ali Khan Saheb's beautiful Tihais... :/

I don't mind a subtle clap once in a while and maybe the occasional "Wah" or "Kyaa baat hai", but not this sort of annoying, meaningless applause and shouting. You're right, the audience is not composed of connoisseurs. It's composed of admirers of Ustad Fateh Ali Khan Saheb, not admirers of Pakistani Classical music. Ustad Sajjad Ali deserves the same amount of acknowledgment for his mastery as well.
i think even more disgusting than this is people throwing money (currency notes) at the performers. making serious musicians appear as circus performers. i shudder to think that if Bade ghulam Ali Khan sahab had stayed back, he would had some joker come and throw money on him. the vision of this would have made me vomit in disgust.

fateh ali khan saheb ... apne alawa kisi aur ko gaane nahi dete... maine kaafi videos me ye ekha hai... ajmat bhi bahut achhi sur lagate hain lekin unko gaane nahi dete fateh sahab.
It is not a jugalbandi. In which both have to show their skill level. Amjad is here to assist Ustad. If you have listen to Ustad fateh with Ustad Amanat ali, you will see the big difference coz both have same skill level and they give each other sufficient time to show their skill level.

my friend Ustad Fateh Ali Khan is the main vocalist and Amjad bhai not amjat is a back up vocalist and there to create the movement for Ustad Fateh Ali Khan...Next time know about gayaki before you open your mouth....

You are absolutely right. Ustad Sajjad Ali Khan was one of the few finest tabla nawazs of Pakistan.
