They do seem like they would be comfortably sized. IEMs tempt me every so often despite the fact that I really hate their feel and struggle with them staying in place.
@@TheVeganVicar Thank you for the tips but I already follow those instructions. What I need to now determine whether it is a matter of the IEMs that I have having a bad fit or a physiological incompatibility since I have had a doctor exclaim that my ear canals 'go the wrong way'.
those cables look very nice. I will put this on my wishlist. I just recently started exploring IEM because headphones are very bulky, though they sound nice, their portability is not ideal.
@@MasterMarslander it is. Since I am starting with the budget side I was able to try a couple of them in a short period. KZ Castor, ZS10 Pro2, and Chu 2. At first, I thought having more detail was the way to go since I like the Audeze Maxwell. However, for some reason, I enjoy listening to Chu 2 more. I did use an EQ for chu 2, but the EQ settings are saved in their DSP cable. I am not sure how I feel about that. The type C connector would not allow me to connect to FiiO BTR15.
I wonder what happened to my comment, I exerted effort in writing that one. Yessss, it is another set of things to consider which is fun. I will be bringing some of the IEMs to the office to introduce them to my fellow corporate slaves.
@PancakeAndRiley S15 offers a great layer of resolution and a more realistic representation overall. My biggest issue with the S15 is the price. At a third the price, the SO8 is a significantly better value.
A planar magnetic driver is definitely an upgrade from the Chu 2. Planars tend to be really bright, just like Moondrop’s tuning, but this one appears to be a much warmer sounding, so it will probably be easier to listen to than other planar drivers.
S12 Pro is more vocal forward and overall better vocal timbre, while the SO8 offer more texture in the high-end and a bit wider staging. Otherwise pretty similar. SO8 has slightly more bass impact.
I plan to order a pair, in order to replace my oversized Hidizs MP145. ❤
I have one coming tomorrow. I also have the mp145 I’m curious how this stacks up. This could be a good loud listen set.

10:20 I used Hipdac with Timeless and S12 pro. Turns them into a different beast, loved it.

There’s a certain technique to inserting earphones.
Try the Kefine Delci or the DITA Project M - both are very good fitting IEMs.

Yep. Sounds great.
Would you say it would work well for gaming?
Yes. Definitely. Been wearing them while playing Elden Ring and they're fantastic.
Im currently using Moondrop Chu 2 and I like the design very reminiscent to chu 2. Would be a good upgrade?

It’s supposed to be much smoother and measures pretty flat compared to the other planars. Like the s15.
S12 pro is going to be more exciting sounding.
