With the cabinet put together in Austria and Renner action with additional repetition spring this piano is the possibly the best upright made today.
SOME FEATURES NOT MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO:
The finish is a spray lacquer; Feurich claim this is more environmentally friendly than polyester.
The piano is played vigorously by a machine to settle the felts before the final regulation.
There action geometry and hammer weight are finely calculated to allow minimum weight in the keys, giving a better touch.
Well, now I want to buy a Feurich.
My next upright piano for sure!

Thank you for your encouraging comment! The frame, strings and back are made in Ningbo but the rest in Austria.
But how would you compare an upright Feurich made in 1991 in Langlau Germany? Are the standards the same or there are some variations?
Various designs for "jack assist springs" appeared (some patented) in the early 1900s, and now in the early 2000s were seem to have a new glut of them! (recognising that the Fandrich action is late 20th cent). I like the little rollers on these! You mention the use of loop-through-the-jack assist springs on some Bechsteins, and there was also the similar "Illimitable repetition action" used in Bell pianos from Canada. There are some patent illustrations on the Bechstein page of my website. And if you have any comments on the "counterbalance wires" shown on that page, found in actions in some old Bechsteins, I'd be very interested!
Sauter has it from 1864 till today, its called the r2 action;)

Also can the Feurich 123 be fitted with a silent system ?
Bechstein is by far better, this is chinese rubbish.... Its like comparing KIA and Mercedes. You can fit a silent system in every piano, even if its 100 years old

@@Handeltasche yes I have lived with the Chinese for decades and speak the language and they have almost no people with musical sense in that country. Quite amazing that they would be producing such valuable musical instruments

Would like to see in brown wood colour...seems these new pianos too often look like black coffins in peoples sitting rooms...
Definitely right Airedezamba, pianos are mainly black gloss partly due to rising costs of the elegant woods such as Rosewood. This may have pushed the trend towards polyester. Mostly we find polyester more popular than older polished black. We look for the best German pianos with rosewood cases when we can. I don't suppose there's anyone who's actually sporting Feurich as a surname involved with this business, is there? I knew Julius' parents and they gave me the run of the Langlau works back in '87
I'm not sure that's a good question John, we used to work with Wendl & Lung which merged with Feurich. There are two tiers the German made pianos which of course are top hand crafted pianos. Made in Austria will make it more expensive but not necessarily superior to those made in China. The skill levels of Chinese craftsmen are much higher than their European counterparts .Moreover most of the parts are made on CNC machines.
I think the taller Feurich 133 made in China is a better instrument than this and costs just half
If you can see the wooden bark support, you can go to the back pillar, or you can go directly to the fingerboard.
The acoustic part of the piano is the most important and difficult part.... Better buy yamaha in this price class
