Yo dawg we heard you say "yo yo dawg like a yo-yo dawg so we put yo dawg in a yo-yo so you can yo yo yo dawg while yo dawg yo-yos dawg"...I died hahaha
Did you guys hear that? He said the level 1 yoyo makes sounds as if it was being whipped around. Even the retractable chord yoyos do slack and whip tricks.
Being a yoyo fan, I was absolutely gutted by the Blazing Team show. Back in the late 90's Bandai came up with 'Super Yoyo' - granted it was fully created to market the Bandai brand of yo-yo, but the show was actually really good! (Well in comparison to Blazing Team at least) - not only that, the animators went into insane detail to accurately replicate in the animation the intricate string tricks which - at the time - were 'the best around' (que Karate Kid montage). I would highly recommend checking out the Super Yoyo cartoon show if you want to see an example of a GOOD yo-yo cartoon (all 22 episodes are on UA-cam). I am hoping though that Blazing Team will, in some part, help bring more kids the joy of yo-yo.
Ah, Super Yoyo! It first aired in Malaysia around 2005 and it started a massive yoyo fad here. I love the anime, although I remembered hating the last episode...
Ah, I remembered another yoyo show from Japan. It's called Super Yoyo! It first aired in Malaysia around 2004 and it started a massive yoyo fad here. I love the anime, although I remembered hating the last episode...
I saw Yomega yo yo's on the walmart website and went to see if they sold them in stores and so I stumbled upon blazing teams and was like... why not LOL.
+BaconBits 6 They are on several official channels on UA-cam in several languages, though the Chinese version has English Subtitles in the Closed Captions setting(Very, very bad ones) ua-cam.com/video/Ogt3Yt3Pp3Y/v-deo.html
"Loop tricks I was showing off before" *Only does a foward toss repeatedly* Also the morph master isn't a bad yoyo by any means you got what you pay for and the imbalance is most likely just your throw.
Well Wakfu also used that kind of animation very well, Wakfu being a french animated series that is probably the best looking flash animation you will ever see, and maybe the only cartoon meant for kids that can compete with avatar the last airbender
Kohdok Really? I mean I also like Dofus but I don't think they're really comparable, Dofus is basically 1015 minute shorts and Wakfy is an overarching story. I guess I can kinda see what you mean with ripping avatar, but you gotta admit Nox is a much better villain than any of the recurring avatar villains
+Deo Donum Nox is no Ecaflip and Eva is no Simone. The characters in Wakfu don't really have the strength to carry the show, I feel, they're like if they un-shuffled all of the character traits from Avatar and made them stereotypes again. And replaced Appa with an old guy. The sheer variety in storytelling and Kerubim's strong personality makes Dofus way more fun to watch, in my opinion.
Kohdok Hmm I can definetly see your point, but you have to admit that Nox is a pretty impressive villain story wise, they manage to nail his backstory to the point where you actually feel kinda bad for him, but you still don't want him to succeed, though I do have to agree that Ecaflip is a pretty interesting character, especially during the whole casino arc
you could get one of the Auldey Blazing Teens yo-yo online for less than 20USD or so if you're looking for an "advanced style yo-yo". In the community these are called "unresponsive play" :)
+Kohdok would you say this is a classic example of having the toy come first they might have been better off, rather than the show then the toy? I mean when toys are based off of a series, it seems like they have their hands tied more and we get toys or merchandise that is trying to emulate what is seen in the show.
+Kohdok Not just Leon, Cyazu has the Marucho vibe going on with a hint of one of the Hetaila characters, yet just watching this review made me get interested in yo-yoing
the butterfly yo yo is not unbalanced. keep in mind he does say he does not know how to use a yo yo well. i have it and i have no problems doing tricks.
+Joshua Rivera I've gotten it greased to the point that I no longer hear it when it spins, but it still vibrates all over the place. (I have also since recovered enough skill to perform the Trapeze reliably with said Yoyo). I guess I got a defective one. I'll do a follow-up if I can get one that works properly.
I find it pretty funny that my younger brother was playing with a yoyo right before I saw this. Pure coincidence, really. I don't know why, but both of those shows look like they have similar animation to me, although the latter looks better. The whole thing that both of these had with the whole old master thing made me think of Master Asia, though. And I was fully expecting the Aigis comparison once I saw the blue robot girl. (Persona 3 is my favorite RPG ever 11/10)
I want yo-yo robot girl! robot girls make everything better! PPFFFFFH! Oh....oh god I didn't expect the last bit. I'm glad I watched phelous' video mentioning old DBZ dubs or I wouldn't have got it.
Why didn't you mention yoyofactory? I mean, I know it didn't start from the early days of yoyoing but it's still like one of the, if not the most popular yoyo company?
There was a manga called Super Yoyo back in 1997 and it ran to 2000, they turned it into a 22 episode anime in 1998, so..yeah this ain't anything new. A quick search of UA-cam will bring up the series..though I will say I wish I could do half the yoyo tricks I see other people do..I notice people that are really good tend to have long and slender fingers so that don't go well in my favor with shorter fingers.
well, if you do want to learn, get a proper modern yoyo, the ones that don't come back with a tug, then cross the hurdle that we all do, the bind, and you're ready to learn anything, the length of your fingers is nothing, i have pretty short fingers but i can do complex tricks like rancid milk just fine, the youtube channel yotricks should be a really good starting ground, maybe invest in a replay pro and some string and response pads, happy yoyoing ;) if the finger thing really annoys you, maybe string tricks aren't for you, aybe try 2 handed looping? on yotricks its called 2a oh and yes the super yoyo anime was based off real people, search michael nakamura 4a and you should see that guy in the green shirt live
xhonestx Thanks for the advice, my grandma in her younger years won a few school contest for her yoyo tricks..but she's in her 70's so the stuff she was doing is nothing like what I see around youtube, I've shown her before and her eyes kinda went buggy when she saw what people are doing with a yoyo nowadays.
ShinKyuubi hahah, that was me a few months before, i won a contest when i was 8 in yoyoing, then stopped, then i got back again 10 years later and months ago i was the same as your grandma
xhonestx I remember seeing the yoyo tricks as they evolved and I was pretty slacked jawed since as a kid I liked yoyos but my best trick was a walk the dog...then the internet got big and youtube popped up and I saw the stuff that started coming out, I was stunned, and yoyo designs just kept changing to get better for certain tricks. I remember the Yoyo Ball..you can still find those floating around from time to time. Once I could actually throw and catch a yoyo correctly I took the one I had, covered it in paper, colored it blue, and tossed it around like it was Sub-Zero's Ice Ball from MK. I was about...8 or so at the time maybe 9.
This is a better review of the level three yoyo: ua-cam.com/video/O8sVTlYAkz0/v-deo.html You can do sting tricks with it, but he couldn't. The yoyo is perfectly fine with string tricks in butterfly mode.
I honestly find the Blazing Teens main characters just as cliche if not more. Like many Alpha Animation shows I've seen, it's just a typical main character, the generic rival, the whiny girl and of course my most hated, the fat dum dum, ugh... I prefer Blazing Team for just how ridiculous and silly the concept is but that's just me.
They aren't really hard to find as they are all on UA-cam. For me anyway, Alpha Animation are like the Chinese equivalent to Video Brinquedo (with a few debatable exception). They have other terrible shows like Infinity Nado and one of my most hated shows... Mechnimals (that's really how it is spelt). This is just based on my experience of those shows. I only mean the main cast. The robot might be one of the only good things of this show. NOTE: Just in case you're interested, if you wanted to find a terrible animated show that isn't made by Alpha Animation then I would check out Swirl Fighters (the worst Beyblade rip-off ever) and one of the worst things I have seen.
Not knowing about the show, I thought you were doing a skit in the intro I expected there to be a gag abt how “man, Yo-yos are such a better use of your money than this TCG!”, lol
Can't say I didn't warn you. Blazing Team is fully Chinese, so it was unlikely to ever compare with Hasbro's own shows like Kaijudo, GI Joe Renegades, MLP, etc. It's better to compare it to Blazing Teens ... and, yeah ... I'm going to blow your mind: Parker's voice actor is actually a young boy. BTW, Duel Masters is American and started as a way to sell a simplified Magic to Japanese kids. Even though Hasbro hasn't shipped a new set in like a decade, the TCG is still designed in the US at Wizards, AFAIK.
+Kohdok That doesn't change the origins of Duel Masters. I don't think Wizards/Hasbro had much of a choice for the west outside of a total relaunch like Kaijudo. The Japanese media franchise has gotten too steeped in continuity (the main character has been Shobu's younger brother for a few years now) and wasn't in a format that would make export easy (at the time of Kaijudo's launch, the current Japanese DM TV series was only running for 10 minute episodes). Then there's the mess that is the card game. The market wouldn't be able to support an accelerated release schedule to catch up to Japan from where Hasbro stopped, and just picking a newer point to start at puts western players at a significant disadvantage for international play. It would be like if Bandai America suddenly decided to give Battle Spirits another go.
+Synonymous52 Like I said with Blazing Teens, understandable that they didn't dub it, but how does that excuse the approach they took(By making the main character an annoying Immunity Sue)?
Kohdok I'd agree. Besides, you probably got a good list of them by now for that. (Though I was saying what I did because...well if you are comparing something to Redakai...and it's worst than that, something is off.)
Yoyos can be used as weapon once a man from the Philippines came to my school and thought us how they used to be hard wood and knocked people out used strings to choke people out.he even show us some techniques it was pretty cool
+Panther Gecko If there's one thing I happen to know, it's that you can pretty much kill anybody with anything. Cracked.com jokes about how if Bruce Willis did another Diehard movie, it'd play so safe he'd have only a walkie-talkie to work with, and I must admit, I'd pay money to see a movie where Bruce Willis slaughters a bunch of terrorists using a walkie-talkie as some sort of crude cudgel.
saw the show, wasnt that bad but I was expecting more but it 2nd season ending was pretty nice for what its worth and I wanted to see how it ended oh well wanted to see the order of anachy regret joining save for Johnny as his yoyo is still the same compared to the others who are losers compared to an angry kid who was driven away. Give parker a break hes a kid character but yes the girl thing is a problem.
why kids got to save the day in every show it not real adults should be pick for this super community service ,crazy BS, life takimg and dangous...... never mind let the kids do it let them do it they might get into a good collage if they live and not go crazy from the BS
Because we all know kids can't stand Batman and Spiderman, right? They're too old! It's an industry thing where people think kids won't watch a show unless the main characters are also kids. It's why Parker is so young and why so many shows give an adult hero a "kid sidekick".
+Draxian Nicoji I think they're by the same studio, being a joint project between Auldey and Hasbro. It might help explain the lip-flap problem a little bit, as pronunciation might not come as naturally to a Chinese animator used to working on domestically-distributed shows.
Yo dawg we heard you say "yo yo dawg like a yo-yo dawg so we put yo dawg in a yo-yo so you can yo yo yo dawg while yo dawg yo-yos dawg"...I died hahaha
I genuinely thought this was some kind of adult swim parody show
but the yo-yo master didn’t answer, he just kept yo-ing
Anyone else notice Heartful Cry playing in the background while Kohdok was talking about the robot girl? Nice touch :))
Texas star and Inverted Eiffel tower made me laugh so hard.
yoooo I just realized he plays "Heartful Cry", Aigis theme from Persona 3, when talking about the yo-yo robot. Nice detail.
19:06 Which episode is this from? I need to know. Edit: It’s the second one.
Did you guys hear that? He said the level 1 yoyo makes sounds as if it was being whipped around. Even the retractable chord yoyos do slack and whip tricks.
xD time to do brother and slack.
Kohdok where did you find episodes of Blazing Teens if you don't mind sharing
Just search up blazing teens episode 1 and it'll pop up
the battle spin is essentially a tape measure

Ah, Super Yoyo! It first aired in Malaysia around 2005 and it started a massive yoyo fad here. I love the anime, although I remembered hating the last episode...
Everybody gangsta till the quiet kid lights the building on fire by doing man on the flying trapeze
Bruh, Lao Shi just means Teacher in Chinese but he pronounces it wrong...
Aegis from persona 3?!?!?! Best you tuber 10/10
+Mike Ftzlgard She seemed a fitting choice of comparison.
Ah, I remembered another yoyo show from Japan. It's called Super Yoyo! It first aired in Malaysia around 2004 and it started a massive yoyo fad here. I love the anime, although I remembered hating the last episode...
i mean which store did you get the yo-yos
I saw Yomega yo yo's on the walmart website and went to see if they sold them in stores and so I stumbled upon blazing teams and was like... why not LOL.
Did you see they're putting this show up on UA-cam dubbed in English?
Well holy cow. I mean it's a lame Asian-English dub, but I'll take it!
ua-cam.com/video/u3TNzZ98kOo/v-deo.html
Now we just need Turning Mecard...
Where did you watch blazing teens 5

"Loop tricks I was showing off before" *Only does a foward toss repeatedly* Also the morph master isn't a bad yoyo by any means you got what you pay for and the imbalance is most likely just your throw.
Maybe the Forward toss maybe the first loop trick(The not continuous looping.) it does make a loop when thrown.
Well Wakfu also used that kind of animation very well, Wakfu being a french animated series that is probably the best looking flash animation you will ever see, and maybe the only cartoon meant for kids that can compete with avatar the last airbender

+Deo Donum Nox's story was a bit of a cliche, and felt really rushed. I think even Bashi or Indy got better development.
you could get one of the Auldey Blazing Teens yo-yo online for less than 20USD or so if you're looking for an "advanced style yo-yo". In the community these are called "unresponsive play" :)
Or just called "unresponsive"
I love bakugan
Where did you get the yo-yos
Uhh any store like target, Walmart, and toys r us?
Elle wouldn't look terribly out of place in Yu-Gi-Oh Vrains.
+Kohdok would you say this is a classic example of having the toy come first they might have been better off, rather than the show then the toy? I mean when toys are based off of a series, it seems like they have their hands tied more and we get toys or merchandise that is trying to emulate what is seen in the show.
13:49 "Lao shi" literally translates in to "teacher"
Also Ellie to me looks like a mix between Aqua and Fi, don't hate on me for saying this
+Travis Thunderpaw I didn't say this show was creative. Heck, Leon looks almost exactly like Dan from Bakugan.

+Kohdok i brought 2 of them after watching your video and cause i like the show(shame on me i guess lol) and they work great.
+Joshua Rivera They go down smooth, without all the buzzing mine has? Hasbro did just agree to send me another one, so I'll probably do a followup.
both go down and up smooth but one has a little buzzing when i first used it but i guess it way away by itself.
Kohdok
both go down and up smooth but one has a little buzzing when i first used it but i guess it way away by itself.
c'est dommage qu'il n'y est pas de sous titre en français

I address this in my Immense Shark review. Even with proper form, the yoyos are a little buzzy.
I honestly find the Blazing Teens main characters just as cliche if not more. +Clubpenguin729Minus Where can I find the other Alpha Animation shows, anyway?
And I doubt all of them have a robot.
They aren't really hard to find as they are all on UA-cam. For me anyway, Alpha Animation are like the Chinese equivalent to Video Brinquedo (with a few debatable exception). +Clubpenguin729Minus It's no match for Origami Warriors.
"Gentlemen, prepare your paper..."
+Kohdok That sounds... wierd but I'll check it out.
Remember Kids, if you want to see an serie about Yo-Yos, you are better watching Sukeban Deka
Blazing Team, more like Blazing LAME-OS, Amirite?
Not knowing about the show, I thought you were doing a skit in the intro
I expected there to be a gag abt how “man, Yo-yos are such a better use of your money than this TCG!”, lol
his still airs in hawaii
As the show goes on some villains have dark yoyos
If you can pause at 17:59, that is another derp face
+Travis Thunderpaw The thing about the one I paused is that it's a clip used in the OP, so you get to see it eeeeeeevery episode.
I have the blue wolf im collecting more love these!!
+Synonymous52 Wait...the cards are designed in the western block of Wizards?! The hell Wizards!? Dagnabit Wizards!
Except the Japanese show actually worked in Japan. Kaijudo bit it big time over here. And Blazing Teens 5 is at least so bad its good.
Hey, I happen to like this thank you very much!
honestly....id probably buy the toys just to cut off the rings. cause i actually like the rings.
I think we could all agree that the TV show is HOT GARBAGE 🔥🔥🔥🔥
*Look at them yo-yo's, that's the way you do it*
Best prediction of the show ever lmao
have you seen the show super yo-yo
+Ben vs Ash 101 Yomega's crazy-dated, super 80's/90's show? Yes.
+Kohdok Bandai and Sho-Pro did their own live action yo-yo series, Hyper Yo-Yo (and its sequel, Hyper Yo-Yo Burning) a few years ago.
Blazing Teens sounds like the name of a show promoting underage weed smoking
Bruh... Blaze it right now...
BestOfLuck lol
i like the show
I love the show and I'm 22.
the brandon vu did a review on the morph master and his speed combos showed us all that you can't do string tricks with it. Umm... yeah
You just type that you can't do string ticks with the yoyo. Do you mean can?
+BestOfLuck typed*
Jojo's... mhh? I'm beneath 50y old, and I recognize the companys sells every 20y. the same product. :-)
OoooooooOoOoOoOOoOoH!!!!!! KABOOM
Surprised you haven't made a Top 5 Worst Show to Toy / Toy to Show list.
Blazing Team = 1st and Redakai = 2nd. (My guesses.)
I'd rather do a "best", honestly.
Kohdok I'd agree. Besides, you probably got a good list of them by now for that. (Though I was saying what I did because...well if you are comparing something to Redakai...and it's worst than that, something is off.)
Here's My worst list:
5. Transformers Energon
4. New Adventures of He-Man
3. Redakai
2. G.I. Joe Extreme
1. Blazing Team (Of Course!)
I thought Beyblade was nuts with the whole making a mundane toy really cool, and then this...
I didn’t know my little pony used that method.
"Yea see u can't even do a good string trick because it's so unbalanced" XD u sure it the yo yo?
Ikr
Ikr
BestOfLuck
yes i know right?
BestOfLuck
yes i know right?
I yoyoed alot... Until i ran out of yoyo strings
...inb4 "first".
+RainingMarshmallows Just like Blazing Teens 5, that post is hilarious in how awful it is.
+Kohdok hey, you just hurt my feelings.
+Kohdok That lipsinking is so horrible
saw the show, wasnt that bad but I was expecting more but it 2nd season ending was pretty nice for what its worth and I wanted to see how it ended oh well wanted to see the order of anachy regret joining save for Johnny as his yoyo is still the same compared to the others who are losers compared to an angry kid who was driven away. Give parker a break hes a kid character but yes the girl thing is a problem.
Recommend you watch Brandon vu's video for a review of the morph master because he is an actual yoyoer
Anyone can be a yoyoer.
its not the yoyo that can't do tricks its you
man do you even know how to do a breakaway properly
14:34 roast
kohdok can u trade me your weakest bakugan for a skylander
Cool
I didn't get the joke
knowyourmeme.com/memes/xzibit-yo-dawg
It is fun and not boring
It's kinda boring and stupid.

why kids got to save the day in every show it not real adults should be pick for this super community service ,crazy BS, life takimg and dangous...... never mind let the kids do it let them do it they might get into a good collage if they live and not go crazy from the BS
Because we all know kids can't stand Batman and Spiderman, right? They're too old!
It's an industry thing where people think kids won't watch a show unless the main characters are also kids. It's why Parker is so young and why so many shows give an adult hero a "kid sidekick".
Or a yoyo ball
Yoyo balls suck.
looks like they trying to do anime
Well I can
😱😱😱😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😶😮
I just saw some of the show and good God was it cringe worthy they don't know what a triceratops is!
I hate Parker by hearing
You cant play yoyo bro
You mean you can't yoyo?
Ya but its not English
Bro it's not that the yo yo is in balanced it's because your bad at doing it
They ripped off the show, and they could make an evil side of Johnny. (Jerks)
Do beyblade burst!
...I did. About a month ago.
This blazing team show just copied blazing teens
I watched 2 episode of this show, and ONLY CRAP is it clishe, horrible, and MY GOD WHY?
Hasbro should really stop with this stupid show adaptation, game conversation things.
blazing teens on better
Even Blazing Teens was better.
wow he even said it.
this is a joke
No it's good you just bad
Your videos are too long
f u bruhh
lol i proffesionally yoyo and let me just say this is ruining yoyoing
I find it pretty funny that my younger brother was playing with a yoyo right before I saw this. Pure coincidence, really.
I don't know why, but both of those shows look like they have similar animation to me, although the latter looks better. The whole thing that both of these had with the whole old master thing made me think of Master Asia, though.
And I was fully expecting the Aigis comparison once I saw the blue robot girl.
(Persona 3 is my favorite RPG ever 11/10)
+Draxian Nicoji I think they're by the same studio, being a joint project between Auldey and Hasbro. It might help explain the lip-flap problem a little bit, as pronunciation might not come as naturally to a Chinese animator used to working on domestically-distributed shows.
i like the show
