Man you are born for this job. This was the best advertisment on Honda Monkey ever. Actually I own one and everything you said is true. This bike can definitely give you a lot of fun even more than a big bike. I own sveral other bikes in a different categories and the monkey gives me the biggest pleasure to ride it. I own suzuki GSX600F Katana and Suzuki Intuder 1400 but I enjoy most riding the Monkey. With the monkey I don't trouble overtaking or thinking about the road I just ride it and enjoy the feeling of the wind and the views and the fuel efficency as well I am filling the tank with 5 euro and ride it 200+ kilometers.
I've got one and love it! Feels more nimble then a bicycle with how short the wheelbase is, and yet very stable. Much more capable then a scooter in terms of handling and braking. Found the seat more comfortable then the Grom, and looks cooler in my opinion.
Thanks for the pro review. Really looking forward to your review of the Dax! Maybe do a compare and contrast review of the 300, 500, and 1100 Rebels? Go Dax go!
Minimotos are awesome. If you're old enough, there is a huge nostalgic draw for these bikes. They're modeled after the venerable Honda z50. The neighbor had one and it was the first motorcycle I drove sometime in the early 1970s on pubic roads when I was not old enough to obtain a license. Life was different back then for sure. I like the look of the Monkey more than the Grom but there are some practical considerations that favour the latter. The Grom is $1300 less and there is an abundance of aftermarket options such as luggage racks and center stands. There are people doing some crazy things with Groms. I watched a video the other day where someone had fitted a 300 cc two stroke KTM engine. They had commissioned a custom expansion chamber that fit the assembled bike and looked like a million bucks.
As retro as it is, its a real let down to have a modern filler cap. I had the original in the 70's (We would put it in the trunk of our Chrysler for road trips lol) and this is just so different that its just doesn't quite hit the nostalgia mark for me. Did my official rider training on a Grom last year, and those were fun. Ended up getting a ADV160 to run the wife around the neighborhood with instead.
A neat little bike after all the years it's been going. Nice review.
Not counting the 1 st time, it's only been going since 2018
The little guy would be great for a little Monkey Business. Thanks for the nice review.
I’ve been curious about the entire line up, excited to see you cover it.

Thanks for sharing! I definitely like the look. To me, it looks even better in person than on video, and yeah, that seat is pretty comfortable!
Hermosa motocicleta gracias por el video🥰Thank You For The Video and Review👍🏽
Very nice I like it that would be fun to have

The rear wheel doesn't have ABS but does that matter, because it won't lock up (skid) regardless the pressure you apply to the back brake.
Lol noob

Speaking of scooters, what about that Honda 750 off road scooter, that's got to be a blast 🤙🤙🤙
You seem a little upset. Everything alright?
@PeterLoweOne not at all, I think you give great reviews, when you mentioned scooters, it just made me think of that adv750
They don't sell the 750x here in the USA...if they did, I would have bought one years ago
@tonywilliams9026 it looks sweet, I like having a clutch but that would be an exception
@tonywilliams9026 I would go to Canada and buy one
I'd like to see a video on the honda cb300r
Honda discontinued that bike and replaced it the Monkey. Lol.
I'll have that as early as next week.
That looks like fun - but too close to the ground for me. My first bike was a CB125 which was so tiny - felt like knees under your chin🥴
Dude, you have to fill the tires with air! That raises the bike and makes it handle like a dream.
