Honestly this has become such a war of attrition that despite Russian advances there is really nothing to be proud of. Both sides are bleeding themselves dry over square kilometers. Casualties in hundreds of thousands on both sides. Huge product, resource and manpower losses. This conflict has been going for way too long to be beneficial for any of the sides. Both countries are dealing with demographic problems already. This conflict will only amplify those. And given all previous statements in this comment of mine, I do believe that there are no winners here.

Its all about who will collapse first, Russian economy and wadmachine or Ukrainian frontlines. Russian channels show the territory gain as a good thing(not considered the immense loss of life and equipment) and celebrate it but thats is better than what pro-ukrainiam channels are doing. They completely neglect the frontline changes. Every drone/missile strike is claimed as a victory that will destroy Russia. Every inch gained by Russia is called out as a blood bath for Russian l but they dont mention the losses on Ukrainian side. Honestly i cant even watch the Ukrainian content creators and how stupid they are at stating facts and analysis.
@spartan9572 False, although Russia is making very tiny and pyrrhic gains they are nevertheless winning the war via attrition and actual land gains. In the long run the more the war continues the more it hurts Ukraine manpower/weapons wise, this is why Ukraine is desperately trying to get the West to hurry up and deliver weapons.

Both Russia and Ukraine are unable to replenish their losses AFTER the war, given the nature of their economy. Is Russia winning in tactical sense (Gaining land, advancing etc.)? Yes. Is this conflict going for a time period long enough for their "victory" to be pathetic in itself, paid in enourmous (by modern european standards and taking declining population problems in advanced economies context into consideration) casualties for something not worth it (A reminder that the original Russian idea was to overthrow the Ukrainian Government in quick operation similiar to one happening rn in Syria)? Also yes.
Just to clarify, Rusia is not occupying anything …those are Russian territories. Those regions became independent or reunified with Russia after referendums and elections of the people and citizens from those regions. So technically speaking is Ukraine the one invading Russian territories (those whom freely elected not being part of Ukraine. Using their right of self determination)

A general I listen to says all the aid is irrelevant it can't do anything to save ukraine. He says war is won with man power and ukraine lost it 2 years ago in the first offensive strike they had.
It might be in public records somewhere. My guess is most of the actual cash money got spent domestically on new materiel to replace the old stuff that got sent to Ukraine, and maybe on the salaries of any US military personnel providing training etc. That is, 'foreign aid' when talking to the media/taxpayers but 'domestic economy stimulus' when balancing the books. It's a common trick.
