Awesome video. This was exactly what I needed to see in planning my trip. Thank you both for taking the time and care to make and post this video. (Amazing people actually are critical about the video face time - It was perfect:)
You guys were SO BLESSED to get a day like that for Skellig Michael. I copied a lot of videos peoples’ trips to SM…. Some trips the waves were so choppy and the boat rides were horrendous . People talked about getting sick on the boats…. Some got all the way to Skellig Michael but were unable to land due to the roughness of the seas. The ocean looked like a LAKE for you. Maybe it was because the Prime Minister was visiting. I am scheduled to climb SM on May 15,2024. Pray for good weather for me. I’ve also seen people making the climb with light rains( soft rains, sorry)and wet steps. I will freak out if that happens. I, too will be staying in Waterville for a week. I’ve found on line a lot of people with my unusual ancient Nordic surname( Danish Vikings)buried in Portmagee so I want to check it out. Happy trails to you. Cheers😊
I went to Skellig back in 2013 the weather got bad on the way to the island. We got soaked and wet from the waves and storm. Very wild boat ride. And actually had to change our clothes in the bathroom of the place you guys ate at. Brings back some really great memories.
Thanks for the video! I'm torn between visiting Skellig Michael or just taking the Eco Tour as someone who is also an 8/10 afraid of heights. How was the walk down? It scares me more than the walk up!
Walk down the steps at the bottom or when you reach the picnic video? I’d highly recommend the landing tour, it’s really a once in a lifetime opportunity, and if you ever feel uneasy you can always sit down and scoot step to step

Thanks for sharing Jerry! Can’t imagine being there on a rainy day, the boat trip out there was bouncy enough on a nice day!

Very interesting beautiful Kingdom of Kerry should have given a little historical background to the ballycarbery Castle

Enjoyed your video. I visited the Island a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, the sea was not calm enough for us to land. It was still a great experience.

@Adam and Madalyn all the steps down! I just bought my landing ticket - wish me luck
Awesome! We hope you have great weather and a great time!
Looks beautiful. What time of year did you go?
Early August, very blessed with the weather
@@AdamandMadalyn Great, thanks so much.
Ireland does not have a Prime Minister - we have a Taoiseach (pronounced 'Tee-shocked')
No way could l cope with heights 😢😢😢
Super video visit but why oh why so much face time its the location we want to see, just give your excellent narration without all the face time.
