Flygt pumps last much longer and can also be supplied with IE3 equivalent motors if a couple extra point in Eff are worth the cost, granted ABS Sulzer pumps can be much cheaper to buy but they want to be..

Let me save you some time; these things are notorious for not handling rags. Far worse than other pumps when it comes to handling debris. Far worse than other pumps in just about every way, but that's the main issue we see with sulzers.

I am curious about the foundation design of such a pump, the pump will act as a cantilever beam which will be reflected on the size of the foundation, in addition to the dynamic effect induced by the motor. Any guide on how to design the foundation or how to calculate the reaction forces of the foundation ? I guess the numbers will be very high.

Dear Sir,
The pedestal base installation option enables installation and removal of the submersible pump in a wet sump environment without the need to drain the sump for maintenance access. The force due to the weight of the pump (less buoyancy) acting at a distance away from the connection point provides the sealing force at the flanges. This is very beneficial in wastewater lifting station applications. It is a design concept that has been in use in this industry by all major suppliers for many decades. Since the design also results in pump loads that are offset from the foundation anchor points there is indeed an additional moment load and dynamic effect to consider. If old was FLYGT N/F , no need of replacement as Flygt is incomparable for efficiency & clog free performance. However, good animation, but how ,New pallet for old pump ????🤣

When it's time to switch to a new submersible pump, no one wants to deal with a costly and time consuming replacement. So we have made it easy with a number of retrofitting brackets and accessories. Just add a console and drop it. Easy!
As for which pump has the best total efficiency. Well, let's agree that we disagree. 😉

no one has to go down into the sump pit because the existing pedestal is still being used. The new pump gets a bracket that fits the existing pedestal.
