The genius of Martin Stahle is without questions. Working with Martin in the early 1970's at the Neinkirch facility was truly an inspiration. From solving the Peruvian Anchovie pumping problem, to the introduction of PreRoation stand alone to any pump designer. In the beginning we used three speed motors for PreRotation, later VFD's and match flow became the standard. I'm certain Martin is looking down with great pleasure to see his vision continues.

I am curious about the foundation design of such a pump, the pump will act as a cantilever beam which will be reflected on the size of the foundation, in addition to the dynamic effect induced by the motor. Any guide on how to design the foundation or how to calculate the reaction forces of the foundation ? I guess the numbers will be very high.
