I should have said it was a woody sound. But on tropical islands, where I once lived, a similar sound can come from a bamboo grove when two big bamboo shafts rub against each other. Staccato is like rapid fire, tac tac tac tac tac! Now this makes me wanna watch Woody Woopecker cartoons! Lol!
@Seven-Planets-Sci-Fi-Tuber ah, so the sound a woodpecker would make, if a woodpecker would peck wood. understood. :) never heard any woodpecker make such loud noises like in this recording, was interesting irl. not really much bamboo in the pfälzerwald yes :)

@Seven-Planets-Sci-Fi-Tuber I know the woodpecker, he is a quite common bird here :) Just meant, that this recording is a very loud one, have lots but not that loud. He had to be pretty close to the microfone.
