Thanks, glad to hear :) At the moment i use the Tascam Portacapture X8 with the internal microfones, most of the recordings on the channel are still from the Zoom H5 with H6 microfones. Thanks for watching :)

I found it! ua-cam.com/video/iwxzNS7f1CE/v-deo.html It's the other sound the wood pecker makes: the sound of wood pecking! Staccato is like rapid fire, tac tac tac tac tac! I should have said it was a woody sound. But on tropical islands, where I once lived, a similar sound can come from a bamboo grove when two big bamboo shafts rub against each other. Staccato is like rapid fire, tac tac tac tac tac! Now this makes me wanna watch Woody Woopecker cartoons! Lol!

@Seven-Planets-Sci-Fi-Tuber I know the woodpecker, he is a quite common bird here :) Just meant, that this recording is a very loud one, have lots but not that loud. He had to be pretty close to the microfone.

while youtube is processing the video, ads are added automatically and i remove them, when i'm on the computer, but can't always be :) channel membership does not remove ads btw, can't change that. you have to get youtube premium for that.

@@flowly I also follow a geologist named Myron Cook here on yt who makes videos about geologic features in the landscape and explains how they came about. I'm sure he'd love to check out this one. The ancestral impulse here is to climb to the top where many humans and maybe neanderthals would stood to peruse the area or to sat and meditated. Dragon Rock is a good name.

@Seven-Planets-Sci-Fi-Tuber Interesting, will check out his channel. There are a lot of similar rock formations in the Palatinate Forest. Will record more next year.
