Plants have life too. We are not only cruel to animals but also destroying plants and nature all together at an alarming rate. We need to be aware of how our actions can affect the world.
A tiger that eats a deer or a big fish that eats a small fish in the ocean, are they comiting violence? Nature has it's own balance. Let's say if 50% of human population turns vegan, we will have to increase our land by deforestation and destroying habitats of other animals. Also, the number of animals would increase so do our needs of crops and agricultural land. We will have to compete with the grazing animals for food. Excess of everything is bad.
For me, the lesson is to be mindful of what we consume. Moderation is the key.
Fun fact: If Nas was 23 years old back then, that means that now he is older than 23 years old.

Beautiful video, Nas. I went vegan 6 years ago and never looked back. I have had the pleasure of visiting many sanctuaries over the years and saw how a lot of the animals that we put on our plates are truly some of the most intelligent and loving species out there. Cows are practically giant puppies.

Also remember there are very few meats which can be digested without cooking throghly, unlike many plant foods which can be consumed easily as it is. Our bodies resemble more closely to frugivores ,and herbivores than to carnivores.
