I’m not a basketball fan, I’m a football fan. Played it 11 years. But Slam Dunk is important to me because it portrays what being an athlete is like. It’s barely about the games, its 90% practice. And what you do in practice is what makes up who you are as a player.
As a child I lived with cartoons, when I was 7 years old on holiday, during the time I was playing basketball, this cartoon happened on television, it was immediately love at first sight and it became one of my favourites. 15 years old, first year of high school, in the most terrible period of my life, I bought all the volumes of the manga because I heard positive things about it. The moment I was ready to call it quits, I decided to start this manga. I'm 17 years old, I'm a happy person.
Don't, don't do this to me... I watched it in the mid 2000's as I'm not a 90's kid and this still takes me back, that upcoming movie is gonna be one hell of a trip.
I don't think this upcomin movie will hit me too hard, it will still be great to watch. However, i know that this movie will mean so much to others who have been stickin around this series and the community it has created since when it was just startin.

Pity it was stopped
The ironic thing with this opening is its already emotional. nostalgia is the cherry on top of cake
I was so focused on slam dunk that I didn’t even realised that’s the legendary Grimmer from monster itself. What a legendary W edit.
AKA The Magnificent Steiner 👌😌
still so upset about how his story ended
