Cache, Train and Tuscan have ALL been FOUND in recent DATA MINES & Game files which has led many to believe they could be added to Counter-Strike 2 by the end of 2024. Train was my favorite pro scene map to watch
Same. Also one of my favorites to play, although I was not great at it and a good team on train is so tough to come back against.
Dude train was so good I started off hating it but fell in love I remember losing the half on ct by a lot and coming back on T it was always a blast with that said BRING IT BACK
I just hope that one day, they'll add Cobblestone back, i miss it so much, and i think it would be cool to see those maps in future tournaments with the new engine and game mechanics.
Winter version was found in the files back in September, its a matter of when it will be added not if. Now if it gets added to the map pool is up for debate especially basing it off of how much it was played by casuals and pros.
my most played map in go was cobble, train, cache
imagine my reaction when i first saw the premier maps in cs2
+train, +cbble, +d2, +cache. I think valve needs to rotate maps more often to keep things fresh. Also gotta keep the fan favourites up to date (d2) and exciting maps to watch pros play like train. Great vids LukeEats.
Loved some Cache, CPL_Mill, And CPL_FIRE, bunch of OLD maps that would be GREAT in the comp scene

hopefully agency returns soon with insertion 2 for more hostage maps. only office was disappointing
Agency wasn't fully owned by valve and from what I've heard is one of the reasons we havent seen it in the files yet. Nice to meet a fellow Agency enjoyer :)

tuscan seems like its more geared towards deathmatch which imo needs more maps made specifically for it

New maps... And it would be nice to have a map that rotates per week and in pro matches to have a map thst is not in the pool because literally having the same lineups and strategies gets boring .. and if for example your pro team can play on a map they havent really experimented on can spice things up. Having the same maps played the entire tournament yes shows how consistent you are but how about adaptability ? It would be nice if they do something like that

I forget where, probably on a stream, but I remember hearing FMPONE say that Valve had attempted to buy Cache as well but he declined. I get the feeling Valve only wants to use maps that they own for active duty now.

inferno sucks because utility lineups have become unreasonable for the average player to perform
Tuscans textures make it look visually busy otherwise great map, maybe it just needs to be made more compact in places.
increase the map pools from 7 to 9 would be awesome for the game

What I want from CS2 the most at the moment is.
All the usual maps we know and love completely reworked like we saw now with cash and even inferno.
I want all gun skins to be modeled after the new cs2 gun models and not the old csgo ones. ( maybe some new sounds as well )
And performance . Since cs2 has released. My fps has only gotten worse with multiple crashes and fps drops. My pc doesn't suck. It's on a Nvme SSD, i7 9700k, 2070 S and 16GB of 3200 DDR4.
CS2 just doesn't feel like cs2. It just feels like a worse, more buggy more laggy version of csgo. And I miss csgo, because it was quite flawless and polished at the end.
Now it feels like I cant hit my shots because my fps dropped from 144 to 60 after peaking a wall with a T player behind it.
I think that both the most and least popular maps, as well as the map that's been in the pool for the longest, should be bumped from active duty twice a year. It would keep things really interesting, I think.
In counter strike 1.6 maps were way bigger compared to now
i figured wed get tuscan back at some point since they bought it and anubis at the same time. but im gonna be upset if we get it before either cobble, cache, or train.....

Pre-Halloween Cobble is needed.
I think we should have real reserve pool with 5 maps and every ear after 2nd major pro players would vote to switch 1 map from reserve pool to active pool and vice versa. Also there should be vote after 1st major of the year to drop 1 map from reserve pool and replace it with map from operation/scrimmage.
Imagine removing the iconic inferno just to add this Tuscan map...

Does anyone else remember that red vs blue style counter strike UA-cam series from back in the day? I forget the name of it.
I think inferno remake made the map too restrictive, it's very ANNOYING to play, you can't hide fully, it's very closed, etc, it very much feels like a valorant map, you can never take full cover, for example, can't make many of the bombs that were used a lot on top tier pro CSGO

Honestly I think New Inferno > Old Inferno for low Elo Comp/Premier settings, however due to changes with removing the Skybox, the map has become very un-fun to play in even mid-Elo Premier, around 10-15k where pretty much everyone knows all the default lineups for the maps they play. At that level and above, the map is just not fun to play due to the lack of skybox, and I think that the old Skybox which prevents things like cross map smokes should definitely return, at the very least to select maps like Inferno which were heavily impacted by this change in a negative way.
The fact that these doofuses at Valve remade Inferno twice (arguably made it worse), but Mirage is still basically the old ass original CS:GO Version is so nuts.

Crazy how the maps were bought for less than a single skin creators make for a single case release.
150k dollars is not that much money for a company like Valve. So the price tag won't be reason they introduce it to the map pool imo.
Vertigo and Ancient are my favorite maps atm. I don't enjoy playing inferno. Anubis is growing on me but I do often have lag problems eventhough I have a brand new pc. I think Mirage will go away. But why not just add more maps instead of taking maps away... Just add more and keep them in!

I like Inferno on CS2 wayy more than in GO - but I still hate it and ban it every single time in Premier, or dont even select it in regular MM :D

I agree with mirage being pulled honestly in csgo I liked it because it was random but now that to goes it’s vote I almost never want to play mirage which is weird because I know more set smokes and such on that map then any other it’s just a map I get bored with compared to train or Anubis or even inferno personally as someone who’s only been playing for afew years inferno feels amazing with some new things to find while I was also finding new things in csgo it’s like the list has been extended
Valve should switch up their anticheat. I hit 22k elo today again and every lobby is hvh, blatant spinbotters and nothing happens.
I really like Anubis, I wish it would get picked more in Premiere.

Inferno and Cache are my favorite maps and it makes me sad everyday i no play cache :(
The real problem is that in most games there are more than 1 cheater in my team. There is no way to stop the ranked match when there are clear cheaters.
Valve needs to get rid of cheaters before the game is playable
1:04 its not data mining, what gabe follower does is different; data mining is typically a breach into the games code where gabe follower just analyzes what we are given on the surface. I would recommend not calling what he does "data mining" as that gives a much more negative impression of his work.

I kinda doubt that they will add cobble to the matchpool becuz it needs some rework as the full map, atleast on a site, but as a normal comp map it would be really nice
de_train was my fav map so I was top frager for me was excicted to play in this map !

Inferno was my favorite map in CSGO and I still like it in CS2, just a lot less, I think a lot of the changes are just objectively bad. Mirage is so stale and boring, I'm gonna lose my mind if I have to play on it one more time. I loved Train as well but I agree that it's kinda too big, they should probably shrink it by like 20% or so if they're gonna bring it to CS2.

If I was valve I'd make the bold move and just remove mirage and inferno from premier the normal competitive mode is perfectly sufficient if enought people play it and the reason it's ranks are horrible rn imo is probably because there arent enough ppl playing it I'd prefer if premier was about actually playing different maps and being a good player in different playstyles and settings

The last Tuscan version is weird af, it got cathophobia T mid, and CT mid second floor for some reason...
1.6 train is such a horrible map hide under train you can get shot from everywhere and with those worst thin wall everywhere. Last train rework, I'm not enjoying played it myself still have a nightmare since its 1.6 days, but watch pro play is another story. It's crazy map for those who has beasts micro skill.
Was it 2018 where we got Inferno rework? Which is the best version ever imo, it's my favorite map. Right now it's not the worst but not an enjoy as before. Too many restriction here and there that appear due to the layout/environment change. Playing CS2 version I feel like got throw back in CS1.5 (if not count banana)

my experience playing cs2 for a while now on a low end pc (ryzen 1700x, 1660s) the maps that run the worst from least to best for me atleast are
Ancient - shit but playable once u get away from water
Overpass - 50/50 good luck fighting short
Anubis - isnt nearly as bad as the first 2 but sometimes fps is alittle low
Nuke - for some reason my pc drops fps bad in mini when t's try to come in A site(Not all the time). Besides that runs fine
Inferno - Plays alright cs2 is just shit tbh
Mirage - Only had issues at the start of cs2 but after updates it runs good
Vertigo - Never had issues on this map (SWITCH THIS MAP FOR CACHE)

I personally dislike inferno for the new wall geometry. The wall clipping is not what is appears visually. What you see is not what you get on Inferno
