I gotta disagree with your idea for the best setup. I know it’s all personal preference, but if you’re looking to make slappies easier I think there are two essentials.
1: a nose. The nose of your board is the first thing that contacts the curb and starts guiding you up it. That doesn’t mean you can do them without a nose, it’s just a lot harder. You also don’t need a lot of nose. Just enough that when you ride your board into the curb at a 45 degree angle, your nose touches the curb first instead of your wheels.
2: wheels. Wheels are a little tough because there are two different wheels that help with different things. Rounded wheels help you get into the slappy a little better, but squared wheels (conicals) help you stay locked in better. Sometimes you can find asymmetrical wheels that have both shapes. Spitfire lock ins are probably the best example I can think of. Oj mini combos would be great to, but you’d have to ride them inside out so that the conical side was facing inside the trucks and the rounded side was facing out. I also think that bigger wheels lock in better too. I find that small ones slip out sometimes on curbs that are really rounded from wear.
Anyway, the main thing I disagreed with is you saying that smaller wheels are better. I think 55s are best. That being said, you might be into something with those trucks being wider than your board. I usually keep my axle flush with the sides of my board. I think having slightly wider trucks would prevent the tippy board thing that happens and you end up doing a wallride side grind thing instead of getting up on top of the curb.
Feel free to disregard my information too haha. But hopefully you don’t and make some more videos about tinkering with your setup. I really enjoy them.

I skate a lot of wide decks, the best way to grip them in my opinion is to rip the griptape apart (longitudinally) right in the middle and put it on, the gap you're gonna create in the middle will look great (looks like a crack or something) and you're never gonna notice the difference under your feet!
P.S. : some kinds of grips do not rip apart, they're kinda stiff, in that case just cut it in the middle with a scissor.

I went with a big gap in the middle to give it that old school 80s look. Also helped that the board I bought has a huge topside graphic to fill out the space. I love tearing & cutting up the grip for larger decks, all mine have things like funky disjointed grip patterns & spray paint jobs (go super easy on applying spray paint, too much kills the grippiness). My popsicles I like clean...but any shaped or larger deck I love go to ham on. Let me rephrase that: if you're not customizing the grip jobs on your boards, you're doing it wrong!

My friend bought me a 10in Punk Stix board and I was sweet I'm gonna learn Slappys!
Bought a set of Indy 215s and sold them a couple days later. I feel like they dive to much for me. Mind you this is after trying different bushing combos. I weigh 290lbs so I always gotta switch out the bushings for harder ones.
So I searched high and low to find a set of 10in Land yachts Polar Bear trucks 180mm, and I'm much happier. They are a shorter geomatry truck so I think that helps me be more stable. Haven't slappy'd them yet but I LOVE them on transition with some 98a Khiro bushings. Ive blown out sooooooo many bushings it's annoying. My back up bushings are 98a Shorty Doh Doh White's and they have worked well for me also.

I bought a squaretail 10" Vision 'Old Ghosts' deck with modern concave just for my 215s. I bring it up because my pursuit of finding a deck that fits 215s took awhile. A lot of larger, shaped decks often taper in & around the truck area and I'm not a fan of the hot rod look (trucks & wheels sticking out from underneath), so finding a board in the 10" range that actually fits 215s is a little more difficult. I will probably just cut my own deck for my next curb crusher, as that seems to be the best option.
