kittykatBflat yeah very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very unusual human...ok I stand corrected he's just just he probably has AD HD
I have an akita too,she always is sad when i leave home..but when i come back i open the door and she jumps at me and pushes me to the floor lol i love akitas
My akita does the same. Her paws also rip and tear my skin when she tries to play or jump up at me, or even when i ask her to show her paws for food/rewards.
This dog has stoicism written all over him, taking his time analyzing the situation before making a proper move - a silent giant you cannot read, imo a truly formidable and majestic breed. Even the boy, despite his playful nature, shows intrinsic respect by not touching his fur
This dog is so awesome! It reminds me so much of my dog that died last year of leukemia. It was a girl aswel! Akita's are the most amazing dogs in the world !
Before I was born, my mother's family had Akita inu as a pet, and my mother told me that the Akita was constantly feeding on cow born like light snacks. My mother also told me that when kids takes walk with him, he pulled kids all around and my mother's knee was seriously injured like ground by mills. I guess they failed to tame the dog properly, then the dog became to consider that he's a boss of family. By watching your video, it seems like your Akita is very well tamed, properly educated and being a very nice family member. It should be a difficult and hard work, but you made it! Great job.
the child was being a bit noisy. i understand because if i saw a shiba inu i would go all crazy fanboy about it as well. anyway, it might have scared him a bit. he never lost sight of the kid and would keep its distance.
Yoggi here can be if trainer right * they can ctually be quite violent as they were originally bred to protect Japanese royalty. There was a recent incident (can't remember where) when a girl hugged an qkita whilst it was feeding and got attacked by it. She had to go to hospital
This is not true at all and is a huge misconception with the breed. Akitas are very loyal to a single person or family, not a very sociable breed naturally and can be very dangerous because people see them as cute and cuddly which may lead them to approach the dog without proper caution.
WTF Man? Do you know that this dogs are banned in many countries? Well, 'banned' is not the correct concept, but you have to put a muzzle in his mouth in order to prevent accidents. Evenmore: this adorable dogs hunts bears lol
I see that some people views Akitas like very agressive breed so let me share with you my experience with my Akita named ARES. As far as I can tell, my Akita is very affectioned toward my family and plays with everyone in the house, sleeping with us in our beds, cuddle 24h, eating food from my hands very often (he likes being fed except if I put food into his bowl) and so on. But the thing is they are very cautious with strangers and if they mark them as a threat they will surely attack without warning, that's their nature and they are very protective and territorial (believe me I saw that first hand, I barely saved the man's life who tried to enter my courtyard without calling my me first). I managed to overcome that food problem with him but he still barks at my grandpa cuz he always relocate his bowl (DO NOT DO THAT WITH ANY BREED, THEIR BOWL IS ONLY THEIRS, BRING THE FOOD TO IT BUT DO NOT TOUCH THE BOWL) But for now it's only barking while on the other side when I sit with him when he eats he's calm and trustfull but surely do not pet him cuz he doesn't like that at all. After he's stuffed you can do to him whatever you want, they have high tolerance toward master, they like cuddling, they are active dogs and like to be in company of a family, give them love as much as you can and do not let them be alone for to long because they are very emotional and could be exposed to high stress condition that makes them agressive. But if you have small kids try to get them used to children and NEVER let your child alone with the dog cuz Akitas rarely makes difference between adults and kids and they can estimate their actions as a threat. At the end they are very dominant dogs due to their inteligence level so DO NOT let them to be an Alpha or you will have a lot of trouble. Show them who's the boss in first 6 months of their lives and when their reproduction hormons get active they can be passively agressive like any other breed. NEVER slap them, use the newspaper and slap on the door cuz the sound of it will scare them and if you really have to slap them, do it on the butt very gently if things get messy, but avoid any physical confrontation at any cost cuz they are very strong (bite - 320 PSI or 24 inches, 2x stronger than Pitt Bull) and they can hurt you. Remember that Akitas WON'T ATTACK the family members he's guarding that's not how they usually act and I don't know how much you need to be cruel for them to attack you. So for the sumary: 1. They are good GUARD DOGS. 2. FAMILY RECOMMENDED. 3. If you do not have time to dedicate them do not adopt them cuz they demand a STRONG HAND and a lot of TIME and NERVES to invest in their training. 4.SOCIALIZE them in first 3 months! 5.Give them LOVE they deserve and they will return you more than any dog breed on this planet with their obedience and loyalty.
So fun to watch! unfortunatly I can not get one of these lovely puppies as we don't have the space and we move many times due to work. Maybe one day during retirement! Anyway thanks for sharing for those of us that really enjoy these dogs but are unable to provide them with a good outdoor living space!
The Akita Inu (Japanese) can live well in small places like apartments. The only real thing that you must provide to the dog to be happy is your atention and love and get him on long walks. You don't need a yard or a garden because the dog will stay inside the house looking for you the whole day, so it's not about space, it's about the time you are capable to spend with your dog.
@@liamvr8511 nope I haven't but at one point before I got my American Akita I wanted the Japanese one could not find one but my American when it looks like a bear too bad I can't upload a picture he looks just like a tan brown and black bear at four months he's already 50 lb and a big baby

Love Akita
"try to call it! say 'yuki'!"
child: "lookey! lookey!"
For him I am Lookey! Akita Lookey :)
They're Vietnamese and "Lucky" is the common name for dogs in Vietnam. And yeah most of them say it wrong that's why you heard it "lookey" :v
Hachiko
Damn my Akita’s name is the same
I am a dog walker and I walk an Akita Inu called Yuki. She is only 3 months and is funny and cheeky.❤️
I have an akita too,she always is sad when i leave home..but when i come back i open the door and she jumps at me and pushes me to the floor lol i love akitas

That's almost exactly how my shiba reacts to kids it just meets. Its like they want to play with the kids, but they're not sure what the game is.
I wish Dogs could talk and tell us what they want 😊
3:24 I love how they make those same weird, spazzy movements that shiba inus make with that same vexed expression. So cute.
Exactlyyyy he is just like my 5 year old shiba also called Yuuk. Japanese breeds are really unique because they are so different from other dog breeds
Am I the only one who thinks that if Akitas could talk they would speak like anime characters?
Jimmie Toyne that’s the point
NANI !!!
Just cuz they're Japanese? Not a fan of that..
@Jimmie Toyne Akita-san?
They are anime characters
Yuki understands he’s a young one and is incredibly gentle ❤️
What a beautiful and gentle dog.
Thank You 😊
The last shot with the sleep crease cheek is perfect like "what do you want i'm sleeping" ahahhaha this is 100% like my akita^^

This is wild since everyone always says how mean akitas are... They were once fighting dogs and bear-killers. But nature vs. nurture is the key.

Akita s dont like noise and yelling, this kid constantly is yelling,Im not surprise to see the dog reaction
That's true. It was the first time for Yuki that he met a Kid at Home. Also, it was the first time for the Kid that he could be so close to a big Dog.
Yuki is so cute, remind me of my own Akita :) same reaction towards noise, as if he is an anti noise pollution lool

tbh that kind of noise he made is more of a playful noise, mine does it when he wants to play with me
