As a diehard monster truck fan, I can tell you the licensing between Feld Entertainment Inc (who owns the name Grave Digger) and BIGFOOT 4x4 will never follow through. There have been known disagreements between the two parties since the early 2000s and are still present. Thanks for the thorough review of the game!

Thanks for the explanation! I figured it would be something like that / its a shame since those two monster trucks will always be associated with each other - like Frazier and Ali, Lakers and Celtics, Yankees and Red Sox

Good review man! Yeah the publisher clearly isn’t interested in taking care of their loyalists. Wow. What an awful customer experience.

Thank you! It’s a shame since there was potential and if they had only been more transparent and/or had a hint of customer loyalty they might’ve had their fans promoting the hell out of it… now it’s getting promoted for the wrong reasons

I’ve only been able to play this once as I don’t lay games often. But I wanted the table top Bigfoot game. Especially since strategy is involved.
I came to similar conclusions as you did with the game. I however hate those dice. They fall off the other side of the table.
Some further light on the Grave Digger thing: USHRA bought up the monster trucks that were running the Monster Jam circuit. Bob Chandler said no. Monster Jam and Bigfoot have not been friends since. There are Bigfoot videos on UA-cam where Grave Digger is a black box (censored).

Thank you! I totally get the dice rolling off the table - so they aren’t very practical. But they are definitely an eye catcher.
I saw some of those censored videos. I just figured they didn’t want to get sued. I actually went to a Monster Jam show a few months back and while the trucks were awesome, the actual show wasn’t a thrill for me. Was way too targeted at little kids. But the arena was packed so the model is working for them.. I just like the old grittiness of the Bigfoot shoes

Was downtime an issue for you? It was for a couple of reviewers so wondering if you felt the same.

As in waiting for each player to take their turn? The first game was, but then we really got strict with the 2 minute time limit for planning... I've only played with 2 or 3 players, so it wasnt horrible (with the timer).
The repetitious obstacles made it easy to plan your moves while the other player actually implemented their plan. I still think the obstacles needed to change between runs....

👎(blowing raspberry) Sorry, man. The game - eh. And the company sounds like it's run by a bunch of unprofessional jerks. I'd take that game to a monster truck rally and put it under a tire. I'm so sorry about your experience. You are such a nice guy, you deserved better.

Thank you Donna I appreciate that! I don't disagree with you on the company and the game, but taking the company out of it, the game has potential...
