I was TERRIFIED of Cynder and almost turned off the console when I found out I had to fight her. But then I heard this theme and I was like "BRING IT ON BITCH!"
I'm glad I wasn't the only one terrified of Cynder. They really nailed this villain (yeah I know she's corrupted and manipulated but technically she's the villain of this game). Between what you hear of her, the bits you see without actually encountering her and learning bits and bits after every big mission, you begin to fear the moment you'll actually face her.
My headcanon is that her corruption made her more powerful than her body/spirit could handle, so akin to say, Shin Godzilla being in constant pain, using her fire breath could've caused immense pain for her, hence the scream like sound she emits.
I remember when I was little I cried after beating Cynder like; "But she was so prettyyyyyy!!!" I admired her even though I knew she was the villian, and I did a fangirl screech when I found out she was going to be a good guy. :)
think about it,they stand there finally going to fight, the well of souls can open any moment as he fight against the one who wanted him dead. finally defeating her just to realize she's just a little dragon who had the worst life. and when he saved her that means a lot because he must have understood her in some way. that's why the music is intense for me
The one who decided to put this theme also in the Dawn of the Dragon introduction is a genius! Imagines and music were completely in armony. ❤ PS: And for the ones who don't know that... 0:53 - 2:03 is the part that plays during the Dawn of the Dragon intro.
Cynder was a slave. She was never evil. The true Devil was her former master, Malefor! The Dark Master is the greatest Spyro villain ever to be Pure Evil incarnation so much that he crossed the Moral Event Horizon in his tyranny over the Earth! And best of all, Mark Hamill voiced this dragon overlord of evil! Malefor is the Prince of Darkness himself!
And then Skylanders Academy happened, Malefor was no longer voiced by Mark Hamill, and Cynder went from being a really awesome character and one of my favorite villains of all time, alongside Prince Zuko and Darth Vader, to having an existential crisis when Spyro informs her that sometimes bad guys are bad for no reason.
@@Attaxalotl Hey! I loved Malefor mentioning Taco Tuesday! xD But if Spyro is truly part of the Crash Bandicoot multiverse, then that would mean all the Spyro chronologies could be canon. B)
It's my personal opinion that Rebecca Kneubhul purposely composed the Legend of Spyro soundtracks to sound just like the Lord of the Rings soundtracks. Which isn't a bad thing at all, considering that the story of the game parallels the high fantasy setting of Middle Earth, and also for the fact that Elijah Wood (Frodo) was the voice of Spyro. Out of all the tracks she composed for this epic game trilogy, this is the one that reminds me the most of the Lord of the Rings. To me, it specifically sounds like "The Prophecy" from the Fellowship of the Ring, with all of its Latin chanting sounding like the Elvish language, and of course all of the dramatic, loud, minor chords. It also sounds like the song that plays in the Return of the King after the One Ring is finally destroyed, Sauron is defeated, and Mount Doom erupts. But pardon my extreme geekiness. Not that I'm ashamed of it at all. 🤓😉💜
I've also noticed some parallels between this trilogy and the LotR trilogy of films. It's too bad this reboot was abandoned though I suppose it's better to quit while they're ahead
I remember the Cynder fight during my first playthrough of the game; everything was super tense, and when Spyro started to strafe I just KNEW that it was almost over. When I did that Final Fury, the music timing was unbelievably *perfect*. Started exactly at 2:25 when Cynder started to fall in slow-motion. XD
im here today dawn of the dragon on ps3....besides the remae of the OG trilogy coming in September for spyro's 20th birthday dawn of the dragon was the last good spyro game since the og trilogy
The fact they bring this back in Dawn as the Aether Fury theme is amazing. This wasnt a one time deal, this is YOUR power, you can use it to it's full extent!
Goosebumps every time. truly one of the best orchestral scores in the series, a shame the boss is so easy because this music would have killed if it were in vs Malefor.
Not that easy really, mostly medium difficulty at best. If you didn't max earth that is. Because if you did then i can agree it is a very easy fight to cheese with earth spam...
Finally finished a New beginning on my ps2 today, finally, after all those years as a child my dream of finishing the first game in the Legend trilogy has been accomplished. Now I just need to finish Eternal Night and Dawn of the dragon (again, because why not?)
@@ripple-effect-mlp Too late for me T-T, I noticed that this game is very difficult compared to a New Beginning, I remember dying a lot like that in Dawn of the Dragon and even so, was mostly of the time at the END of the game. Perhaps you could do the noises from the Convexity level, before the actual fight there? I can't find it anywhere and was hoping, since these videos are the only ones on youtube of the new beginning soundtracks that aren't blocked form copyright, that you could help out a fellow Spyro fan.
this is first game I ever got, I was amazed, I finished all three and I wanted more, so I bought enter the dragonfly, well it was the stupidest game I ever seen

Ted price said that they might make a new one. Until then, you should read this amazing fanfic i found, look up " your all that I need a spyro fanfic " it's basically an extension to the ending of dawn of the dragon
I actually have made a couple of fanfics based on the Legend Trilogy. I'm still finishing up the second one, but I'll give you the names: The Legend of Spyro: Devil's Shadow and The Legend of Spyro: Cynder's Darkest Hour.
Yeah, that was (and is) me. I am having some trouble with the second book, but once I get my chance, I'll be finishing the second book up and moving on to the third and final. :)
Childhood right here! ❤ PS: I never noticed the whispers at the end of the theme. They sound creepy. o_O I wonder what they say... perhaps they're announcing an imminent death.
The first part of this song is the same as Dawn of the Dragon's fury music, the middle is in the intro DoTD, and the third part goes back to the fury music (but without the music). Nice!
That's why i love epic music! I played this final boss a lot of times just to hear this majestic music. I also entered in pause menu several times just to go in the options and make the music going to the part i wanted playing during Spyro's final attack. That was full epicness. PS: Who's the composer? PS 2: Does anyone know the lyrics? (XDXD)
