    We continue to see new brands dive into the "Ultra Quiet" air compressor scene. Stealth was one that was available on Amazon and also at Lowes Home Improvement Stores. we assumed it was a higher quality unit at a decent price to we took a chance and gave it a try. What do you think about it?

    I was sent a discount code from JND Clean Direct for purchasing these on Amazon:
    Discount: 10%
    Promo Code: 10STEALTH
    Seller Information: JND Clean Direct
    Note: I also learned that the company making these makes tools for dewalt, stanley, craftsman, porter-cable, etc.

    That unit has a striking resemblance to my harbor freight fortress 2 gallon compressor. They appear to be about the same overall size and they sound the same.

    I've had a few compressors that recommended a 30 minute break-in period. Oddly, I have several CAT air compressors that did not require a break-in, I even called CAT to verify this. I should mention that all of my compressors are old because I've long since completely switched to battery powered tools.

    Kind of surprised at how well it did. For the hobbyist, might be a good option. I'm not sure about contractor use but who knows, might be good.
    The 44lbs, are the pumps aluminum or cast iron?

    I have the Makita version of this (MAC-320Q). LOVE IT! I just don't understand why quiet compressors took so long to come around. My Bostich pancake compressor will drive you insane with the noise. It is incredibly loud. These quiet compressors are a dream come true.

    I have to tell you, it takes some pretty deep shopping to find these. I just bought their 20 gallon version and man, I found it DEEP down in the bilges of he Home Depot website. I picked it because the specs are outstanding, but the retailers are not exactly putting them on the front shelves.
    When I need a tool, I check all of my usual suspects. I check Blue, Orange, Ohio, Acme Amazon and ebay. I am about to cut ebay out of the group...but that's a subject for another day. I was at the end of my process, with something else in my cart over at Blue when I did one last, shopping session ending sweep over at Orange...and that is when I found the Stealth. 5CFM at 90PSI? On a $350 compressor? I am sorry, but that is just incredible. I almost broke my keyboard buying it when I saw that.
    Put it this way:" I have been running a Campbell Hussfeld for 20 years. It put out 3.5 CFM at 90. That is enough CFM where the manufacturer tell you not to run your sanders and impact hammers. Ohm, I always did and they worked fine. But at 5CFM...that's a number where even Osha's corporate HR department won't try to tell you your can't run all of your shit!
    Listen, I am guilty when it comes to my power tools. I know I have black and yellow batteries, so I never bother looking at anything else. But when things plug into the wall...yeah...I am free to shop and I did. This here is one of those things that you just won't ever find a friend talking about it. So, if you are one who looks for brand labels he recognizes and then clickety clacks whatever those brands make...you will miss shit like this.
    This is as good as it is going to get without spending twice as much money...and Orange hides it on the back of their page because they really want you buying Ridgid. You should buy air compressors from this manufacturer.

    Whats your favorite portable air compressor? Second would love a shop tour, I could not have such an epic shop with all those manly toys and have a happy wife lol unless she's into the #shoplife. I don't know how you do it 😁

      I do not have one..... I have a few different ones in the shop that run the safeties on my lift and one Dewalt 80gallon 2 stage. This one will replace one on my lift. I like it.

    These are made in china in case you're wondering. Rolair are made or assembled in the USA, I am from Australia and I know which manufacturer I prefer.

    I like it! But 30 minutes to fill the whole tank???? That’s something I may need to think about

    • @darkwhorse
      @darkwhorse 2 роки тому

      You may have missed it but it was 1:44min to fill the tank.
      The break in period is 30min to run with release valve open.

    Normally airbrush it use tueni PSI or less As long as you can put the pressure regulator down the 20 psi the themes like it's a very good unit or air brushing Thank you 🍻🍺👍

    • @WorkshopAddict
      @WorkshopAddict  3 роки тому

      I know nothing about air brushing, but we are asked all the time! This regulator will go that low without issue. Thank you for educating me!

    • @tankprohp
      @tankprohp 2 роки тому

      all this needs for airbrushing is a water trap and you're good to go 20 to 30 PSI is what most airbrushes use, but it is 20 to 30 PSI constant air so the quick recovery time is nice!
