I remember Gloria. We don't get much for hurricanes up here in New England, but she got us pretty good. We actually still had a drive-in movie theater near my house but Gloria trashed it and it was never rebuilt.
I stayed at my parents' house overnight when Gloria hit. There were trees out in front of my apartment building and I was afraid that they would fall into my apartment. Thank God it wasn't that bad here in Philly.

This is from Tuesday 9/24-THursday 9/26, as this hurricane went past the Jersey SHore early morning 9/27 IIRC.
