I agree, it's hard to cover EVERYTHING, especially if you're pressed for time. I was able to cover most of the convention and see one panel. Hopefully in the future I can plan out my day better so I can see the maximum number of things. It was fun overall though.

I went to the first New Orleans con and it was nice, I just walked in. The line took like twenty minutes. I was one of the first to get in as well. I got to meet people like Adam West without waiting in line, because I got in so fast

Figures depend on the company. Some companies make all their figures in one scale, whether big or small, some have better sculpt, some have better paint etc. The prices reflect this. Also of course there are more popular sculptors and artists and companies involved in the figures. Some are more limited, etc. It's not that people are making figures smaller now, there have always been figures that size, theyre just mostly the cheaper ones.

@DSPGaming For Street Fighter X Tekken, They mentioned Pandora (when your down to 20% life, you can activate Pandora which will allow you to use unlimited special moves but you constantly lose life) and Gems (which increases different stats depending on which gems you use.) which I believe will really add some depth to the gameplay.

Hey Phil, got to meet ya at NYCC, good stuff man.
Just sayin in regards to Zelda...a lot of people were pretty crappy at the game because they didnt understand how to play it properly. I can tell you that the game actually plays really well, but you have to play it the way its intended; with precise strikes and strategy. That boss is best beaten by parrying w/ the shield (which not a lot pf people used properly) and striking after that. Trust me, its awesome. Give it a chance! I trust u will

@DEVIL9999ish couldn't they do something like, oh i don't know, give you an option in the game if you want to play tekken style or SF style?
I think the reason why Bioware isn't spoiling so much for ME3 is because so many people were pissed that they gave away so much info for ME2

Great coverage of the Con Phil. From what I can tell its the exact same experience as SDCC which I attended this past summer. I'm glad I didn't go because I basically would be spending money to see most of the same stuff.

I didn't like Prototype because of the save problem. People wrote that you couldn't exactly save whenever you wanted, that was a downside for me.
Ya it was crowded but Saturday was the worst and the only reason u could only see the panel all day was becuz there were so many ppl nd there was a panel on amc walking dead and avengers movie... To huge things in the main theater nd thy don't hav ppl leave the theater wen the panel is over
@kratos447 What? Xbox 360 was 2005, PS3 was released a couple of days before the Wii in North America.
Maybe in Europe it came out in 2007 but not in North America.
Phil the reason why in Street Fighter X Tekken (which is pronounced Cross) is so much like Street Fighter 4 is because,like with the Capcom vs SNK series there is going to be a Tekken X Street Fighter game that will play like Tekken.

Getting there early isn't necessary. I don't know why everyone always thinks standing outside in the cold for a couple of hours helps xD I went to Eurogamer in London which held 30k people.We were being let in at 11am. I got there at 10:55am. There was a huge queue which emptied in under 10 minutes :) Queuing for games however is a different story,

Zelda is one of those games that actually works better with motion Controls IMO, the Weapons that link uses are somewhat tailor made for it ( Sword&Shield, Bow&Arrows, Hookshot). im sure the game will work better in home settings where there arent thousands of wifi or bluetooth devices around.
PS4 and The Nextxbox both have dev kits floating around already.

almost all characters in Street Fighter x Tekken have a normal LMH launch chain combo. Everyone also has unique chain combos and most tekken characters can wavedash.
yea phil's right the panel stuff is annoying its either panel or walking around not both on the same day
@DEVIL9999ish wish they just put both games into on one disc so im not paying twice for the same game

@DSPGaming well think about this DSP, In the full game you go through an extensive tutorial, and it shows you every aspect on the sword play, Saying how nintendo reps where teaching people, is kinda natural, they didn't go through the tutorial, Further more as I've said, the Wiimote + controller is highly sensitive to infrared light, which all lights give off. going against the boss without alittle practice in lets say the Demo of the dungeon "skyview" of course they died. They needed more time

@DSPGaming I was stupid by posting that before watching the whole video :-) I was going to delete it but figured you wouldn't see it.
What you don't seem to understand AT ALL is how the Wii's motion controls work. It's Infrared tracking. ANY light source gives off infrared light. When you're in a massive building like the places conventions are held at, where they have a million lights set up everywhere, the controls are going to be off.
I swear I'm going to fucking rage if you bitch about the controls in your playthrough of Skyward Sword. I'll be getting the game myself so I'll know right away if the controls really are bad.

Phil, people have been asking for motion control Zelda for ever thats the first thing I heard anyone talking about when the Wii was first coming out. Zelda is perfect for Motion-controls.

@SgtM37slayer Whats making them lose money is not there fault, its the shovel ware and How everyone Owns a wii now basically. Motion Controls DO work, but think about it, the Wii mote uses Infrared light to send its data into the wii system, Skyward Sword is changing that formula and now with Motion + its using simple wrist movements to guide you around, Before you Say shit also know, infrared light comes off everything with a light source, The motion + controller is highly sensitive, so yeah.

Another thing is that you completely overplay the "motion" of the Wii's motion controls. PSMove sucks because it's inaccurate, and Kinect sucks because it actually requires you to move around.
But the Wii motion hardly requires any movement to play. You can just make subtle wrist movements and that's enough for it to recognize. If you are actually swinging your entire arm to swing your sword you are playing completely wrong. Please stop giving bad views on things you don't understand.
There will be Tekken x Street Fighter that will run on Tekken 6's engine.
