I don’t even have kids and I love watching these videos! I love your unabashed joy at spoiling your son! That is the magic of Christmas to me! It’s not that you are buying him 100 gifts but that you have invested the time in finding him things that will be really special and will bring lasting memories. Even if his favourite memory of this year ends up being those little Mario Kart figurines that were so stupidly expensive, you will have validated that you paid so much for all the right reasons-b/c you knew how much your little man wanted them! And that makes it special. I have a hard time with people who say their kids only get 4 gifts- 1 they want, 1 they need, 1 they wear and 1 they wear. Those are all good categories but if you are limited to 4 gifts, make them all wanted gifts. And these people are never limited to4 gifts, they just think it makes them look like better parents somehow. I think they are mean. Christmas is all about giving your kids a special day. Keep religion as much of a part of it as you want but still, your kids grow up sooo fast, let them have that special time while they can.

Great gift ideas!!! My kids would love these things (2 girls and a boy)!!! My niece has Down Syndrome and Celiacs so she cannot play with PlayDoh, but loves Kinetic Sand!!! Goojitsu toys, Hotwheels, marble runs, dinosaurs, Magna Tiles are always a hit for my kids. The busy book would be great for her too. I love watching these types of videos also. I go overboard as well, but I save and shop all year. This year, my kids didn't get as much stuff, and it's perfectly okay. They will not mind. It's about making memories and celebrating Jesus' birth. Yes, I did notice the sales weren't as big this year.

Just a tip for those extra large or weirdly shaped gift items is to grab some of those bike bags and use them to wrap your gifts. They work perfectly. They are sold with the gift wrap and are big enough to put a kid’s bike in them.

My son is 20 months so this is his first Christmas since last year he was like 10 months old and we just did a couple little things. I’ve been shopping all year for Christmas. I start on Boxing Day for the next year usually. My budget is $500 for him. He is a huge ninja turtles & spiderman boy! Your son is going to love his presents!! You did amazing.

Loved this! My son is the same age and he has a lot of the same interests. A lot of those toys were either on his list or he got last year. You gave me some great ideas for birthday gifts since his is right after Christmas.

Only my 4 year old was into toys this year. The 11 and 8 year old I went according to personal interests. They also love sneakers and clothes.
Girl I couldn’t believe it when he said he doesn’t watch Paw Patrol anymore! Like he is really growing up on me. And I know the gifts will get so much more expensive as he gets older when he wants more shoes and game systems etc. We got this though!

This is probably one of the best What I got my kid for Christmas videos that I’ve watched. Like you, I always start looking for these videos around early October-ish. Mainly, I just like watching them but I have also gotten some really good ideas over the years too. I have a 15-year-old and a seven-year-old and have done really big Christmases in years past and more modest depending on the budget etc. But the difference I’ve noticed from prior years is that if I shopped earlier and with coupons and deals, that I ended up with way more gifts than I realized I bought. And it felt like more bang for my buck! But inflation has definitely impacted the amount my kids are receiving this year. I’ve waited and watched for sales and “deals” and this year I found there wasn’t really anything offered to really help save. Maybe a few dollars, but definitely nothing that warranted me waiting until Black Friday, etc. (just my opinion).
Oh and just a tip, my seven-year-old son is a Lego fanatic and those classic Legos pair great with the Lego idea books that you can purchase. Basically it’s just a big illustrated book of building ideas and might be a good way for your son to ease into Legos 🙂

@@kandidlykyla he does like the sets but still needs a lot of help from dad. But he enjoys inventing things from the Lego classic set he has the most.

And yes the “deals” were not dealing this year. I have 3 boys (4,8,11) and I def have to be strategic and less gifts. My 11 year old was hardest. He is completely over toys and more expensive
I also feel like this year the toys cost more and when they arrived they are soooo tiny and yesss I went to five and below and they had so many nice gifts
Yessssssss! The toys were not giving what they were supposed to this year. Everything is just so expensive now so Five Below truly has been a lifesaver. Really quality stuff in there! It’s amazing!

Yes, I look at it the same way! I actually toned it down for me this year for my son only because last year he didnt play with half of it . I just went through on the stuff I got and I feel I am missing something!

Yes, Anything over 75%off is 🤩 amazing! Target just let me price match a toy the other day online. It took 15 minutes BUT i got another $25 back😊😊😊! I'm going to have to look up the calf massager because my mom has had multiple surgeries on her back. And she's sufferers from restless leg syndrome. So I feel like that would be a really good gift for her. It won't be this year but maybe for their anniversary in February. I can just get it for the both of them. Her and my Dad that is.

Love this! I said the same this year! Was gonna scale back. I tracked everything I bought and then went to wrap and my kids had like 18 gifts each 😂. Not all toys of course, but still lots of gifts haha
The only really good deals I saw was the dc Imaginext toys during the 2nd prime day. Otherwise, I didn’t see much.

And no Santa brings a couple of big gifts and a few smaller things so his Santa gifts this year will be all of the Batman toys that he got: the batbot, Batman super friends playset, Batman monster trucks, RC Batman car, and the joker helicopter. I will probably also get a few extra monster trucks to throw into his Santa sack. Santa also does his stocking as well.

This was my first year shopping for my baby who is a 5 month old girl but will be 7 months on New Year’s Day.. I’ve shopped for birthday gifts in the past but now that I have a 1 year old niece and daughter I shop more for baby toys the prices have been ridiculous in my opinion. I want to get her a piggy bank toy but 17 dollars for it was just too much.
