Sterilization of Fiberoptic Bronchoscope

Thanks to Miss.Saudamini Tripathy for demonstrating the procedure.
Bronchoscope sterilization : This includes 3 steps -Cleaning, sterilization and storage or reuse. Cleaning consists of manual removal of inorganic burden and visible soiling followed by sterilization with 2% glutaraldehyde solution; the instrument should be immersed in it for around 20 mins then washing of all residual cidex solutions and leak test to inspect for any break in the instrument, thus the instrument is ready for storage or reuse.

Pas rendam cidex dalamnya canul gak kena aliran cidex?

Scope is immersed in Cidex to sterilize the outer layer….inner cannula is flushed with normal saline
