A 1300-mile journey on the North Eastern Backcountry Discovery Route, on and off pavement with the Ducati Desert X Rally. In this series I document the journey, including learnings and full footage of expert tracks. This video covers section 8 of the NE BDR as of June 2024.
In my opinion, it is worth doing Section 7 and 8 together. Given how short Section 8 was, it was well worth it.

I’m am going to ride section 8 in about a week. Should I take my Norden 901 or do you think I could do it on my svartpilen 401? Im would rather trailer the 401 because it’s so much lighter.

Section 8 is really mild but obviously the Norden 901 better handles off road. It’s all hard packed, with occasional sand pits and a forest road at the end. I personally wouldn't trust the clearance on the 401.
