I sincerely believe that out of his entire catalog, this is my favorite thing. It's either this, Clementine or the Heatmiser song "The Fix is in" but this is some real rage room shit for me.
This is incredible. That's real fucking guitar work right there, as usual. RIP Elliott. 16 years today - and I will never forget you, or your beautiful music.
Seems to be in the same time signature as My Cosmic Autumn Rebellion and sounds very reminiscent toward the latter half of the track. I love that you noticed a parallel with that album. Totally see what you mean.
This has to be one of the most powerful instrumentals ever made. Can't even begin to imagine what this would have been like with lyrics.
Everthi
theres a version with lyrícs
@@DarkuzHell where??
@@evatait2351 I couldn't find it so it probably was a mistake, I'm sorry

Elliott smith had so much potential especially when he was exploring noise music
Noise music shows are spectacular
Glad that more rare songs have been found, such a creative artist.
This must be another unfinished masterpiece which Elliott was working on at the very end :/
It does have that slightly out of tune theme that's prevalent on the last record.
@@allegiance000 I love the 'out of tune' theme. It was his signature.
@@Dani92670 I always liked to think he picked that up from the few beatles tracks where Paul's bass is out, and ran with it.
That release at 1:06 is so melodic and satisfying
This is sick! Love you elliott
I simply love this song
The optimistic approach off endless, nameless
my god. this man is a national treasure. fuck it world wide treasure.
how does this have less than 800 views????
+Jason Dinh Right, I feel like his louder work is still pretty under the radar. It's weird, because it's awesome.
Easily - Grand Mal was up for download when it came out. I suspect every fan around those days who knew about it downloaded.
Love it. I wonder if Quasi influenced his noiser music
Some kind of parallell with steve drodz from flaming lips especially war with the mystics
Steven Drozd actually played drums on a few of these sessions

Everything mixtin one😃
Yeah haha it’s familiar
Beatles
Yeah for real. It’s like if I Want You had a baby with an earlier, poppier one of theirs
