At 5:24 I hear "it fades out" in the right channel, which is how he ended number of his songs when played live (but not the 1998 acoustic live performace of Shooting Star weirdly enough)
Are you referring to the acoustic version at Green Street Grill in Jan of 1998? I fucking love that version of Shooting Star, it's how I always play it :)
think I like the posthumous mix more, I think I'm just use to how awesome/nasty they got those guitars to sound. Though I like how this ES mix sounds even more 60s than what's on the record with the hard panning.
Is this from the 02 demo CD that’s floating around out there?? If so do you have any of the other tracks from that- would particularly love to hear what that version of ‘See you in Heaven’ sounds like
@@catface101 i was talking with the person who bought the cd (unless another one was put up) and they said the cd was plagued with disc rot and was completely unplayable, would be really fucking cool if this is from the promo cd tho
I CAN HEAR THE BASSLINE!! THERE'S A BASSLINE!!?! This is amazing... he hasn't even started singing yet...
I’ve heard some rad stories about that session in Malibu from my old producer few months prior to his suicide
I'm writing a book abt E.S. May I contact you possibly? Please forgive my forwardness. @@408Hate
@@408Hate could you tell more about that?
Very cool, more of a raw mix than the final version but seems to have more clarity in a lot of parts from being panned wider. Love the drum sound.
Thank you for this. I’ve been wanting to listen to the famous Elliott mixes of Basement for a while.

Well it's no suprise, it might be a sort of 'post production refuse' u know, in the italian sense of the term like leftover 'error'
