One problem with sticking a solar panel down, is getting it off again if it fails.
Have 2 100w and one failed recently, 2 1/2 years not a mark on it, the other one on the right it’s damaged from clouting bushes and branches but still works fine, got the panel off but cleaning the silicone off is a nightmare.
New Renogy 100w coming Friday, will Sika it down much stronger than silicone but easier to clean up.

I did this to my Pop-Top on my T5 a couple of years ago. exactly the same method - bonding the flexi solar panel to the fibreglass roof. Unfortunately the flexi solar panels aren't as well made as the rigid ones and it's failed.......I have to take off all the bonding to replace it now....! - I would suggest not to buy a flexi solar panel and go for the rigid type.

Nice job you’re making of the van Paul, can you tell me where you got the cable entry gland for the roof from please? Looks much sleeker than the ones I’ve used previously. Thanks..

Hi Paul, thanks for the video. I've bought one of the Index marine glands that you suggested.
Do you have any problems with closure of the pop top over the cables as they are routed to the barn doors? Do they the cables get pinched by the rubber seal of the roof?
    Thanks, Dan

So after ~3 years have you had any problems with the panel lifting off whilst travelling? Just wondered if the adhesive was up to the job whilst on the road?

Hi, Nice video Paul. Couple of questions. What did you chose to bond the panel to the roof with and is there an advantage mounting to one side rather than centrally?
