OMG...I was just about to send a board to production, It was my first 4 layer board and it was also my first board with a 64 pin chip and I hadn't realized there wasn't any solder mask between the pins because the pins were 0.1mm apart...you were totally a life saver...the video just popped up in my feed yesterday..lol..Thanks your video's have been a life saver for me..
Nice upload. You should do a simple printable page of your favorite keyboard shortcuts. IMO the full list from documentation is too long for practical use. Control Shift M is much better than tracking X/Y with pointer locations and spacebar - the clunky way I've been doing it.
Great series! I like the blending of KiCad tips with general engineering design info. Since I've not done any boards with fine pitch parts yet I'm wondering about how the lack of soldermask between the pins affects different soldering techniques. To my mind you could probably get away with it for stencil/reflow but not wave. Unsure about the ability to hand solder in this case. Thoughts?
Very informative videos Chris. A video is way better than reading the docs. It's quick and to the point.

With enough flux, all things are possible :-)
What is the color scheme shown in the video preview?
That's from the gerber program, so it was whatever order they imported into the program. You can customized whatever colors you'd like though.
I'm a big fan of yours, learnt a lot in the past.... but this one to fast and couldn't see what you where on about
Good feedback! I did note this topic spanned a lot more than just a single item like many of the other videos.
