This is exactly it. That cash spent on a monthly basis adds up to over $1300 annually. Delayed gratification, short term sacrifice, long term planing is key but we must be boomers right?
@TheRachelShow My pre-boomer parents would have shamed me if had 100k in non-sense debt and then bought a $7 coffee. Need more of this to get society back on track.
…don’t say “no”…find something free or less expensive to say “yes” to. Do each other’s nails; have at-home popcorn/movie pajama party; cook something Cuban at home together; go to a park or free festival you’ve never visited before; volunteer to work at Thanksgiving meal for homeless. Branch out away from the “usual” activities where you used to spend money into something new, different and challenging.
Trust me, I am buying the basic store brand stuff except when it comes to hair care the only thing I’ll splurge on, but I’m still buying the bottom tier items
When you are in dept, you practically do not own any money. You do not go to restaurant(s) you do not order food. You do not put extra stuff on your hair... You do not understand what it means to be in depth.
@TheRachelShow Being a new mom and tired has little to do with preparing meals. As a boomer, there was no eating out at all when a new parent. That's one reason Boomers are better off today than this younger generation
If there’s one thing I don’t play about it’s my hair and that was the only thing I buy at Ulta is hair care stuff because I can’t find it anywhere else but trust me I’m getting the basics. I’m not getting anything fancy.
Starbucks, Ulta, and going out to eat when you owe other people $100,000? It doesn’t sound like you want to pay off debt and retire anytime soon.
Must be a boomer
@@TheRachelShow…boomers were taught to be responsible…waiting for bailouts must be a “Biden/Kamala” thing?

@@TheRachelShow I'm a millennial and think exactly this about your situation...

Wow
Good luck on everything! Praying for you!
Thank you Devour
Hi Rachel, watching the devastating news this morning about the hurricane, are you ok? And your family? 🙏
Thank you so much for checking in. Scout, my kids, and I are all good. 😊
@@TheRachelShow so happy to hear. Awful scenes on the news ♥️
You are doing fabulous, just tracking
Thank you
Can you cook for each other rather than eating out?
We do sometimes but her being a new mom and tired and me working fulltime and tired sometimes we end up eating out

@@jburch1544Exactly. So many people now refuse to say “no” to themselves, they “deserve it”, so they self indulge.
I stopped shopping at ultra years ago. Prices just got too high. Buy products at CVS now with 25% or 35% off coupons from cvs
