You know it's effective when you remember the melody of the tutorial you've watch over a year ago at the first note of the melody being chosen ! Thanks you so much KSHMR for these helpful videos :)
@@Timothy_BabuHey ! I hope you're doing well :) Thanks to you i've been watching the tutorial again, i have been classically trained for four years so it was fun to hear it now again with new ears and a different musical taste :) I got to say that i'm not anymore into EDM or electronic music (even though i still have love for it), but i'm still quite impressed : The interesting contour of the melody, the good balance of repetition, and the harmonic minor flavor makes a really effective melody ! No wonder KSHMR had the success he had ! The chords are all in root position which is now odd to my ears (even though there is nothing objectivly wrong with it), and i'm intrigued by the last melodic movement of the leading tone (E natural) to the mediant (Ab), since it is quite a leap for a note that usually resolves up a semitone I know it only is a rule and many modern composers don't care about it, but here the melody is quite tonal, so it's surprising ? Anyways, i really appreciate you for coming back years later and making me watch KSHMR again, i'm starting a good day thanks to you :) Take care !
He's a musical genius. Wow. Thumbs up for one of the greatest producers out there, KSHMR! Humble enough to be the only Producer/DJ that takes time out of his day to collab with Splice to teach us aspiring producers some huge tips!
Shicago Music botnek and jauz have also collaborated with splice buy if you're talking about tutorials, virtual riot and far too loud and many others have done some too.
I've watched entire series.. Such a priceless lesson from a humble and highly skilled dj & producer. I couldn't get such perfect lessons from other Djs & Producers when they just showing off, not teaching. KSHMR should be No.1 DJ & Producer all time. Not just by a shitty magazine chart or whatsoever. Love & Respect to KSHMR & Splice!

Everything this dude said is 100% correct. If your ever gonna make an EDM song make sure the melody is always 8 Bars and the last 4 are different from the first 4.
I don't understand people like you! What's is the hard thing to understand!? It's all said in the name of the chord! The major 7th chord is just a major chord with the 7th of the scale added to it!
Luis de Marcos it's just the practice and hard work that preceded this tutorial. He's been doing it for awhile. If you do it long enough and never give up- you are bound to do the same dude.
1:35 This is all I needed, this is what has been really bothering me, I made a good melody, a really nice melody, but writing the chords that fit with them drove me mad. KSHMR, you don't realize how much you helped me, how many projects I can finally start perfecting now, I love you dude.

Ok, so many of you people say how he made a better melody in 10mins. The trick is that he used saw pad and a classic lead to start, this gives you much different ambiance than starting with a piano, which opens scope for different styles and feelings.

At like 09:02 KSHMR goes like: "perhaps we cpuld try this small change... *Changes ONE note, listens to it, immediately pauses and changes it back to normal* nope..." That almost got me laughing out loud in the middle of the night Other than that, awesome lesson!
So great he does this! alot of producers don't wanna share their "magic-trick" because they think other people will start knocking it of.
