Bro let's hope you don't have to bug out anytime soon. You are not prepared. You sound out of breath just doing this video. There is no way your going to walk anywhere with that bag. No water in your bottles. No ammo in the magazines. No battery or dead battery in the survival kit. No toothbrush. Surely you should know whats in your kit. Why didn't you check it before the video. Come on dude preparation. Sounds like just being critical but all I want is you to be the best version you can be.

Don't forget the kitchen sink lol. I'm just picking. you got a lot of cool gear. I used to have all that redundancy and extra gear but once I started packing all that on my back I had to cut the weight. Thanks for the video keep em coming.

You really should switch to a Sawyer Mini water filter. That way you can get clean filtered water into your canteens without having to use your LifeStraw to drink out of your canteens. Sawyer Mini's are very affordable, smaller than the LifeStraw and can filter up to 100,000 gallons of water. I also personally don't carry a whole roll of Duct tape. I only roll about 10 feet of it around an old debit card or lighter. That's all I'd ever need for a 72 hr. mission. That alone could save you about a pound of weight and a fair amount of space. If you have a knife with a sharp 90 degree spins, you can also do away with strikers for your ferro rods. The fat-wood you have in your tin there sometimes is hard to get started with a simple spark, so if you throw a few cotton balls in there, they are great for catching a spark, then the fat-wood should burn long enough to get your fire going. I was glad to see that P-51 can opener come out of your pack. P-38 or P-51, it doesn't really matter, both work great and take nearly no space. Even if you don't plan on bringing canned food, for as light and small as they are, I'd say they're well worth having. You never know if one of your brothers may bring canned food for the mission. Like you were saying you might do, I keep my 0 degree sleeping bag on the outside. Even compressed, it just takes up too much space to keep inside, at least for my liking.

Thank you for your comment. I do have an Axe and a saw that are not in this kit. They would be strapped on the outside of the kit if needed. I do however want to get a folding saw for my next kit I build. I lost this one in a house fire back in June.

I live out West in Spicewood. Austin is the closest major city to where I live which is where I work and shop mostly. So it's just easier to say Austin.

Personally think you can make it with a lot less. Knowledge is power not the amount of gear.

Hey great video, thanks for sharing!!! I'm just thinking about the weight!! I have also the rush 72 and I'm 6.2 tall, this pack is not good for tall people. I recommend you eberlestock G4 or the Tomahawk also from Eberlestock. I consider that one the best choice. I send you greetings from Mannheim Germany. By the way I work also in the security branch ;)

Dude what I'm about to say I'm not trying to be mean just trying to be realistic here, you're literally just standing there talking and within 2 minutes of the video starting you are completely out of breath. all the gear in the world and all the knowledge in the world is not going to help you in any kind of emergency situation if you are that out of shape. I don't know if you're fat or just skinny and out of shape but either way you really need to work on that if you truly want to be prepared. Again not trying to be mean but this is something that a lot of people really overlook.

What he doesn't realize is in his current state, his chances of survival would increase without the bag then it would trying to lug this bag around.

it's great that you want to be prepared but not trying bash you have a lot of useless gear the survival kits etc, dead batteries in lights also you dont think flashlights are important?! you have a fire kit but no idea why you would have waxed jute in there also those aren't wooden dowels they are fatwood. Also you can hear in the video your aren't in shape. Stop buying and carry shit just to have it solid gear and knowledge would eliminate 75 percent of what you have. and ditch those lifestraws and get sawyer. Your whole mentality can be summed up by you statement that I can fit 4 lifestraws so that's what I'm gonna put in there instead of I'm gonna put a sawyer and backwash kit and more than eliminate all of them. Also you seem surprised by what's in your kit which means you don't know your gear at all. I agree with a previous comment you're not an 18, 19 or 11 series. Take your time, pack with purpose carrybthe best thing you can buy and only carry what you need
