- Premium Economy - A video by Kiana Foster. You can see more details in this video showing the one new option for Philippine Airlines. TriClass Airbus A330-300. This video mostly focuses on the Premium Economy (PE) seat. The video shows the seat controls, extension of the bottle "foot or leg" ramp and some of the reclining. The video compares two different seats in P.E. on the aircraft. Taller people 5'10 and taller need to beware that the legroom IS THE SAME AS "CHOICE" SEATING on PAL aircraft. The food is the same, although preparation is different and you have a separate meal menu. You can determine for yourself, so if you are frugal and are date flexible, you should be getting a great value!

I love Filipino crew. They are hospitable, caring, professional and are attentive to your needs. They always have these energetic smiles on their face. No wonder, even top airlines in the middle east or anywhere in Asia are dominated by Filipinos. I feel happy everytime I see one in my flights.

thank you madam kiana, when are you panning to visit philippines again? i live in denmark for almost 29 yrs and I am visiting Phils very often, was there last month june 06 until june 29th....i am going back again this sept or oct same year. my parents moved back Philippines since last year....
i fly EK Emirates from Copenhagen to Manila via Dubai and I am also Skywards miles member for Emirates, I only fly with PR/PAL Domestic and few of my asian routes MNL HKG MNL and MNL SIN MNL route.
I go back and forth between Honolulu and Manila and Cebu. I have a home in Cebu and my kids are in Hawaii, so back and forth I go about every two months (maybe five times a year)
i see....thats nice...my partner in life is from cebu too madam...ill be going bck by september...

Mahalo, Ryan for watching and your nice comments. Economy has new IFE'S, too! I think they are the same size as Premium Economy. The only differrence is the business class IFE's and they are HUGE!

I flew PAL to HNL in Nov.2017 ,this A330 with new cabin seats is a better more comfortable plane than the B-777.

probably the price is the reason there are so many open seats in premium economy. another thing is many people still are not quite familiar with premium econ.

thank you,, you strictly focus on the subject ,, great review ,, saw many Filipino , Filipinas making very bad vlogs on UA-cam and reviews of themselves that shouldnt include takes offs and landings that takes up 75% of the whole film,, Thank you for not doing that!! how much was the email upgrade they send you a week before your flight or how much was online the auction upgrade to this class from economy?
TheLegend Thanks for the comments! I agree with you completely. Sometimes I see travel vlogs with almost the entire footage showing outside the airplane window! Actually, this is a Premium Economy seat on Philippine Airlines, so I didn’t need to upgrade. I normally purchase this ticket and then upgrade to Business class with only $535 upgrade (one way), or I purchase the business class upgrade at the counter for $500.

Nice but still expensive for me. I flew LAX to MNL last year for $485 roundtrip including taxes and fees on China Eastern. Crappy service but new planes. I want to patronize PAL but their prices are just way too expensive.
Yah... I've seen China Eastern prices and they are exceptional and the seating is good, too on the newer planes. Too bad the service is so bad. Thanks for watching and your comment!
well in ANA it costs me $2k for their premium
I want to try it when I fly long haul. Business Class is too expensive. I just want increse legroom, good inflight food and the IFE that is not that expensive.

This was six years ago. I think I paid $1400

pnoi808 I am guessing you have flown with PAL. Good question, especially since the aircraft I came back to Hawaii on didn’t have IFE’S and I flew business class!!! So to answer your question, yah, this plane had all IFE’S at every seat. Hopefully PAL will get rid of or upgrade the interiors to include IFE at every seat. Thanks for watching!

i tried to purchase the 23k seat for 260 saudi rials.
How was the seats?
Jonel Albano the seats were ok. The recline and leg cushion is questionable. I am 6 feet tall, so I had to augment the seat “bar” with a pillow. The IFE was nice, the flight attendants were OUTSTANDINGLY GREAT, and the overall experience was a good value for me. The legroom for most seats are about the same as the Choice seating in the regular economy.
At $2300 you're talking business class price already. Why stay in premium economy?
Thank you for the comment. I wouldn't pay more than $1360 for this Premium Economy. Those paying more aren't too money savvy. You're correct about the prices at the high end. Thanks for watching!

most of those seats suck. EVA did the same. All premium seats used to recline with a usable foot rest. Now most rows only have little foot pegs on the back of the seat in front. Horrible.
Don't forget to watch your luggage in Maynila Airport.
CORRECT! I forgot to take off my money belt and they made me go back and put it through the X-ray. It never came out. When I asked them where it was, they kept on looking under the machine like it fell out or something. It took about 10 whole minutes until I threatened them to call Security in and then it miraculously came out the other end. I only had about 160 pesos in the money belt but still it shows you to be careful like you said.
