I'm really struggling today! Decluttering & Organizing is Stressful

If we must...in a nutshell we are a couple of weirdos and we looooove having fun doing anything and everything that entertains us! Usually it involves having a good laugh about something! Whether we're playing games, going on adventures, exploring, or just sitting around chatting with you guys...we're gonna enjoy ourselves and we want you to come along with us for the fun!
By the way, since you all want to know...we have been married since 2001 and we live in Southern California. We've got 3 amazing grown kids and 5 absolutely adorable grandkids.

Bottom line is they do not make those sheets any longer therefore you won’t be able to ever have that particular brand of sheets again. Keep ALL of them! Stop questioning your decisions because you are doing incredibly well…overthinking is exhausting.

I totally agree!! You've gotten rid of so much already!! These are the only thing you have really struggled with so if I were you I would keep them and when the time is right you'll find similar ones so then you can Trash them. Over analysing is exhausting mentally!! Ask yourself if it's worth it,🤔 it's not like your having hard time with everything!! 🤗

Swap the ones you love for some from the closet that you arnt so fond of...that way you will have the same amount of sets in there...and the ones you swap them for can go into the donate box...You are allowed to rejiggle, dont stress as you arnt keeping more than you decided. You are doing so well...dont let it make you sad.

Right now, they bring you joy! This is a perfect example of “keep” items! Especially if you cannot find them anywhere. Keep ‘em, and give yourself a timeline, like, “I will revisit this closet in 3 months”, and see if you have changed your mind!

I would open those sealed boxes in a heartbeat and search and get back those favorite sheets!! You said you can't find them anywhere for sale...but you have them! P.S. I haven't watched your channel in a bit, and sorry to hear Jerry passed. You took such loving care of him bringing him along with you everywhere. New doggie is very sweet. I love this channel, it is raw, funny and inspiring!
Thank you! It was sooooo heartbreaking to lose him! It was AWFUL! Puddy is his blood relative though! And she looks just like him! And equally an amazing dog if that’s possible! We can’t believe how blessed we are and how much she’s filled that gaping hole he left in our hearts! So thankful Steve said we could get her. We needed her ❤️ she’s got her own channel. @@StevenSteph Just subscribed to PUDDY! You and Steve remind me of how my husband and I interact and care for our animals. I have wonderful cats, just lost our big loveable Oreo who was like a dog. We just acquired TWO kittens same litter, our house with the toys looks like an exploded circus, and they are like lunatics bouncing off the walls, but we LOVE them! The PUDDY channel is another feel good, take away my stress viewing experience. Puddy has a very, very sweet spirit! Amazing!
Steph, keep the sheets! If they mean that much to you, that you are looking for those exact sheets, then keep them. What would the difference between keeping the other set that you have put in the taped up box to buying them again? You use them. You love them. You’re going to buy them again, if you can find them. Just keep the other set, love. You’ve done so well. It’s okay to keep them. ❤️❤️❤️
Your sheets will wear over time. Especially, when you wash them on a weekly as you should. I would go grab another set out of that box. It's not hoarding if you have 1 spare that isn't made anymore. It will save big money, that's how I would look at it. It's not like they are easily replaced and inexpensive. Just my thoughts.

Back in the day the fitted sheets had elastic at the top & bottom of the sheets & made it easier to fold. Todays sheets have elastic all the way around.

Four sets of your favorite sheets are not a bad thing especially if you give the others away, keep all four sets!

I personally would get a box cutter and dig those lovely sheets out if I can't find them anymore and I love them. It's a necessity anyways.
If you love something keep it...don't get rid of it just because you feel like you have to...plus, you need more than one or two sets of sheets. Keep things that are useful and that you find beautiful/love, everything else can go!

shopping that excites them you have comfy cozy feeling . I’m like that about socks . If everyone ask/talk about the sheets maybe the company will make them again . I saw some on the site Egyptian cotton flannel they are nice .

I have three sets of sheets. One for winter, one I use in the Spring & Fall and one for Summer.

Since Steve doesn't like the Bamboo sheets do a switch out in the donate box. Take out another one of the sheets you like and replace it with the bamboo. Your still donating the same amount. Your just get the one you like back.

I would get 2 more sets of the sheets you love out of the box. Good sheets are hard to find. You can always donate them later. What happens if you ruin your 1 pair of sheets and then you will wish you had another set. Make yourself happy and keep them. You will use them.

Everyone needs extra sheets. Get them out Steph ;) Love the candle idea I always use dryer sheets. Sleep is for your good health! So maybe the sheets are the one thing that u should keep! You can use the huge zip lock storage bags tht shrink??

Since they don’t make those sheets anymore - then it’s worth it to save the additional sheets.
Maybe keep those sheets and replace them with other sheets you may not like as much, if you kept other sheets that are different. I'd say keep them if you like them so much. Could figure out a way to make space for them and it's normal to have extras of certain things.

Steph I can totally understand you. I live with my husband and 2 kids- I am very organized and hate clutter. But my family holds onto EVERYTHING. So I feel I am turning in circles trying to keep this house clean and de cluttered.
There are some days I feel so overwhelmed that I am tired of trying.
So with that said I am sending my full support and you got this. I got this! 🙏🏼🤸🏻♀️💕💪🏼🤸🏻♀️Eventually- step by step.
Steph keep the extra set of flannel sheets, you love them so much. It's not hoarding to have just 2 sets of flannel sheets. Really.
Steph if you like them that much , treat your self to one more keep , if you could not buy them any more then keep them , let me say this it may help you , I’ve bought sheets from the good will and nice sets , I do go to the better part of town and purchase them . I do also like the older sheets is why I buy them they don’t make things like they use to . Today’s sheets are JUNK most of them anyway . But if you dont think anyone buys sheets from the good will they do ! I’ve ran into many many ladies looking at sheets the same time as I do , someone will get a nice blessing if you let those go . 😊 I wish you lived in Florida I’d go look them up haha , my husband sounds like Steve he says I hate those sheets they slip off and blah blah lol if those sheets have good wear they will find a good home 😍 don’t let that stress you out sweet lady !

Hi! I agree with the other comments. Keep the sheets! 🤗 It brings you joy, you can’t and won’t be able to replace it, you will make good use of it, and you can rotate the sheets to prevent wear. Exchange something else for the sheets to make you feel better. You might regret it later. If you decide not to keep it take the boxes out to donate right away. Good luck with decluttering! I’m also trying to declutter my craft supplies and everything else.
If you feel a sense of sadness about the sheets then it's worth keeping them for now. You can always have a rethink in a couple of months and it will be much easier to decide at that point. Remember what a huge pile of bedding you had to make decisions on: it has probably left you with decision fatigue. If you're feeling emotionally attached, maybe declutter another area and you can decide on those final sheets with a fresh view then.
It would be a shame to lose the sense of joy you've been showing us as you tackle your house.

I have a funny flannel sheet story. My husband wanted some, so we bought a pair at J.C. Penny's. So I had to work that night and when I got home from work next morning I went to wake him up and he was blue, face hands, lips. I just about had a heart attack till I saw he was breathing, so I shook him awake, and he sees my face and asked what was wrong. I said you're blue, so he gets up and when he threw back the covers I saw he had put the new sheets on, they were a blue checked flannel, like a shirt. I started laughing so hard, his whole body was blue. He always sweated so bad in bed he thought the flannel would help that but it just made it worse and caused the color to bleed. He hadn't washed them before putting them on the bed ( I always wash everything before using). I ended up returning them because even after several washings they still bled. I was so thankful I hadn't slept with him that night and woke up next to that. His sweating was why I insisted on a King size bed and a very firm body pillow. I couldn't stand him lying close. He was always cold even though he sweated, and would try to snuggle next to me. I can't sleep if I'm hot and even in winter only use a sheet and a light blanket. Plus he scored and I hated him getting close and snoring in my ear. Lol
If you love them then why are you getting rid of them? Keep what you love and discard the others that really didn’t mean anything to you because you got them free on a pallet.
Just think someone else can enjoy them like you do. That will make you happy knowing that. Or get rid of all the other ones and just keep those. You guys are doing great.
Keep the ones you love. Its OK to keep something if you love it and will use it. SO don't stress over it. You have room so keep them.
Think about it this way, you will have sheets in the linen closet that you love and that space can't be used for something you don't need! Keep them
