- In this video i show how to prepare black lugworm for the freezer this is my own personal way i like to wrap black lug it works for me but there is probably many ways to this. if you have followed me for a while you know i like to keep it as cheap and simple as i can. i hope the video helps you out

Great vid, Thanks! I have a couple of questions if you don't mind? Do you transport them home in water or just in a bucket? If you were to put these wraps in the fridge how long would they stay as fresh bait for as in to use in the following days after wrapping?
No not in water John the bucket has small holes in to drain them off I was them before leaving beach to remove the sand
I would think a good week in the fridge
You may have to change paper tho
Great video dave salting can help if you've not got a bait freezer i did it before I got mine yea they are not as good as just frozen but they are tougher
That's fair enough mark I have always froze mine and tried salt but was lots of hassle lol
I find blanching them is better. And dropping them in dry sand then into paper. The sand stops them sticking to the paper. I used to do it your way and the worms go soggy once defrosted or the get frost bight and just break up.

I have frozen blow lug as a test but can't say it's good as it was only once
Split the heads with a pair of scissors and squeeze most of the liquid out but not the guts. Then sprinkle a good bit of table salt on them and leave for a while for the salt to draw a bit more liquid out.
Then wrap them the same way you would with blacks, sprinkling a bit more salt on as you wrap them

Just an observation but they look like wrapping to tight your squashing the worms wrapping to tight
No they are OK. Also I dry them out loads so you could wrap them as tight as want there is not guts inside them. When I roll these I try to not leave any gaps so maybe it seems like it's very tight
OK mate I never do mine that tight but everyone doese it differently
