I bought a henna phosphate checker. It says it's something different every time you use it no matter how careful you are. Do everything just perfect. It still gives you different readings every time you use it.
Nice test, I'll watch the other ones now. Asking a lot, but it sure would have been extraordinary if you had gotten buffers to also be able to check precision and accuracy 🙂
My problem with phosphate test kits for example I have the salifert those color charts are very difficult to read the Hanna Checker is nice but I don't understand why they make three different ones I just want to get into ballpark because as we all know you have to have a little phosphate in a reef tank the API test kit for phosphate is very inaccurate I would not waste my money on that I only use the API kits for ammonia nitrite great video by the way
Curious why Elos wasn’t invited to the party? After Hanna LR/ULR checkers...Elos Phosphate test is better than the rest of the colored chart based tests used in this imo. (cost, accuracy and readability) Kinda odd how they were excluded..No?
Unfortunately in the UK, the Hanna Checkers are about twice the price for both the Checkers and the refills. It's actually cheaper to buy one from the US on ebay, and pay to get it imported than it is to just buy one in the UK.
1. No se agita la celda ya que provoca microburbujas dando un resultado elevado. 2. Se necesita limpiar las celdas antes de la lectura 3. Hanna le rompe la madre a todos los test (al menos solo en las que se pueden medir)
I have used Nyos for my 1st PO4 test kit.. and i hate them because it is very difficult to read.. but looking at this video, other test kit also quite difficult.. haha
Hanna is nice until you have to buy replacement caps and or bottles and you will($$$). Was so surprised what they wanted for those(imo). The person does not need to be so close to the camera?
I have had Hannah checkers for years and not had to replace bottles or caps once with over 4 different checkers. You may be unnecessarily hard on them or loosing them? Hannah rules, hands down. Great review Matthew, you make it interesting.
If you had multipule hanna's couldnt you use the same vials and caps for both if you rinsed really well? I only have alk and love it also have salinity and ph and love them to. Thinking of the phophates url. I have salifert now and it pretty good! almost out though so may give hanna a try!
Hanna rulez! Not only accurate but it is the year of the Covid and it is time to go digital. Hate reading colored results bc not everyone can see the same color.
With po4 about 1mg/l every test is easy to read :) Maybe just API not. Totaly useless. Most Reef Keepers wants to know if is at least 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15 and that's it.
I like the Tropic Marin Pro Phosphate kit. Easy to read and perform, fast too. Affordable as well.

Was the same source water used while doing these test? Intrested in accuracy also.
Great video, really helpful. I am new to this, so I was wondering how frequently do you test phosphate in your tank?
Will like to see a test accuracy comparison of all the mentioned. Different reading in all?
API is absolute shit. Starts from 0 and jumps to 0.25 what the fuck...

Does Hanna make a freshwater phosphate checker? If not, will the marine one work? I do not see a freshwater checker.
If you are colorblind or just can’t see slightly different colors, then buy Hanna checkers.

No comprende 😂

Accuracy and precision are not the same thing. How do you know that the Hanna kit is accurate?
Hannah phosphate checkers not very accurate. I get different readings every time I use it and I'm very careful and I'm using it right
Cheaper is the best. anything use Reagent is costly.
I don't understand the math on 36 cents/test for the Hanna. Seems closer to 50 cents/test
Otherwise great video overall thanks!

Not accurate all the phosphate one I mean love the alkalinity one but phosphate ones junk gives a different readings every time you use it
