I wasn’t trying to say that all people had to be like that, but the idea of the INTJ type is like what I saying. Edit: It has now been changed to be more of a generalization.
As an INTP I start thinking about 15-20 minutes before lunch about what to eat and then end up having the same meal regardless. And yes, it's usually in a boring class.
Axos Rain I’m an ENFP but I usually get full fast so I just flip to entrees and kids menu and get whatever seems the tastiest (more calories preferred)
Axos Rain more calories because my low Si forgets to eat and since I get full fast the more I can get down the better ! I exercise a lot just doing my daily activities so I keep ending up underweight! Working on it!
Lmao yes! It's so frustrating. My trick is to try find something that has the best of everything in it. That way it's kinda like I picked everything. 😬 INTP too!
As an INTP, I truly apologize to all of my friends that had to endure dining out with me....! A restaurant food menu has been my arch enemy, the bane of my existence,
Usually if i went to a restaurant i've visited before i would order the exact same thing, and if its a new restaurant well checking up the menu and the price for like 10 times before ordering while thinking about the decision i've made X'D
Same, but I'm mostly saying I'm weak instead of all of humanity bc I'm just so dissapointed in myself at the moment for not being the best person I can be I mean there are so many great and succesfull people but I'm struggling through highschool and I haven't mad a difference in the world and I probably never will and it really gets me down but when my family asks why I seem off I just say that I'm fine but I'm not but I just can't get into it because they would never understand blah blah blah...
INTP was spot on. Omg too many options drive me mad, I flip incessantly, then sometimes I zone out for a while then realize I haven’t chosen and a lot of time has passed, and I start looking again. BUT once I like something at a restaurant (usually the one thing I ordered the first time I visited) I will always order it again to avoid going through the menu!!
As an INTP, I'm always frustrated when they have too many options, but I hate it more when there are too few. I'm actually a picky eater too, so I can't just ask for what the waiter recommends. I honestly usually either order the most expensive item on the menu or order 3 different Items that I end up not finishing.
My husband is an ESFP-and you got him perfectly. He actually complains loudly to the waiter if there aren’t any pictures. (He’s Vietnamese and we live in VN so there are usually pictures).
Hehehehe... as an INTJ, I know the effect. The problem with this idea (or the concept of INTX in general) is that if you look at the cognitive functions, INTJs and INTPs have not one single function in common. With regards to the functions, INTJs are closer to INFJs than to INTPs, and even closer still to ENTJs. Still, I was uncertain for a long time about whether I'm INTJ or INTP. With regards to this video and the topic of restaurant behavior though, it's pretty clear-cut that I identify with the INTJ a lot more than the INTP.
ISTJ here ... I ALWAYS order the same things in restaurants. Like I go there specifically for that one dish. As far as suggesting food to other people, get whatever you want LOL.
As an ENFP I have adopted a wonderful tactic going with friend, and just getting a whole bunch of appetizers and just filling up on those! It’s cheap and you don’t have to anxiously play the eni-mini-myni-mo game with the entrés!
We're still humans tho... Although I remember saying the exact same thing about the view last time I was at a restaurant😂 and about getting back my money if the food was bad😂
Dead on for the INTP. When I was 21, I went to a bartender and, asked what I wanted, I said, 'Surprise me." gave him a price and that I figured there should be at least one shot of liquor in it." It was actually pretty good.
I'm an infj but relate to both my own, the indecisive one, and the whole 'I'm going to regret this' one 😂 the best part of a meal ia sharing time with other people and bonding over good food, also discussing indecision and/or observing others, how and what they decide is entertaining :D
As an INTJ with high S and P ratios I can say the INTJ response was spot on when teasing my friends in a similar situation. When it comes to ordering for myself though, I usually triangulate between value, unique experience, and caloric intake when deciding (and I still pick something faster than most of my friends lol).
Ahhh omg where do you get this from, I actually had a first date with an ENTJ and he no lie actually gave me a business card. ;o; Crying right now lmao.
Istp on the inside. I’m an istp who has several fj friends and am careful to not made them feel unnecessarily guilty, uncomfortable or resentful lol. If i know beforehand it’s gonna be ex, i take the initiative to suggest a different place. If it’s a done deal, i accept it as me not having done my homework and consequently should just accept the results.
I used to be the intp one. However, I've conquered that issue - whenever we go out (my family), I just wait until everyone else has ordered and just ask for a dish that someone else has ordered. It works wonderfully in narrowing down the options. Ultimately, it's all just calories anyway.
Me, an ENFP: *can't decide between 6 menu items that all look good* waitress "are you ready to order?" Me "no" waitress "now?" Me "no" waitress "now?" Me "okay... Everyone else order, I'll know what I want when you're done." Me *orders the opposite of what everyone else ordered so that I can taste theirs too*
Jessica Hiebert HOLY FUCK THE ACCURACY. I hate getting the same thing as anyone with me so I can see the different stuff and cause there’s always a bunch of good items
I'm an INTP and what i like the most is when i can try absolutely every different dish there is. I love when there are different kinds of cheese and I can taste all of them. That makes me so happy.
Enfp is like trying to pronounce the names, awkwardly going “you too” when asked how the meal was, wanting to try something new on the menu, but then changing your mind last minute and ordering your usual (for me it’s lasagne)
i loved the ESFP haha but as an INTJ myself i would just say "whatever, didnt wanted to be here anyway" but accurately assuming what the other one thinks isnt wrong either lol
As an ISFJ, I'd just get the same thing I always get. Why go through all that decision making when what I usually get is good and has a good price 🤷♀️😅
Man, the INTP is so spot on, you had me litteraly dying! And indeed after experiencing a few of those crazy eternal loops, I decided to make some binary choices "algorithm" : salty or sweet > cheap or expensive > healthy or fun. Plus I have had several allergies that help me shorten the list of possibilities... :)
I'm an ENTP and I'm always looking at price, size of meal for the price and I never stick to the menu choices they way it's listed either. I always like to add or remove stuff to or from my meal choice if its not exactly how I want it.
As an INTP, this is so accurate. It takes almost 20 min. for me to decide what to eat, I think about the money, the taste, nutrients I will get, the amount of protein and fat my body needs according to what I ate that day...
ENFP Spot on 😊 when you pressure us to order something, we just literally say what is on our mind like a flash but still enjoy the food anyways. Like cmon' dude food is life 💙😂
im an infj, and i honestly thought that it would be some weird stuff about our existence in this life and stuff, but i can't say anything now because that is literally - LITERALLY- exactly what i say every time i go to a restaurant. im done.
INFP; I'm actually the type to quickly mull over my options, pick what I'm craving or close to it at least, then I usually have no regrets taste-wise. I just try to make sure I'm full enough. Honestly I'd eat with the ESTP, I liked his attitude the best.

INTJ - I study the menu before arriving, read the reviews and know what I want as I step through the door... My wife will first ask me about all the dishes, then all possible combos, then ask the waiter the same and what may not be on the menu and finally decide for something completely different.
hmmm any other INFP's go with "whats the most popular?" idk i feel like its probably cause i always want the best for anything, and that's kind of a way to do so.

Your MBTI stuff is great, really underrated
As an INTP it's too hard for me to decide so I started to pick something randomly just not to keep people waiting 😩
And then regret not choosing the white sauce pasta instead, after ordering.
That would be when I'm at a new place. But I usually just order the same thing every time cause same sister, same.
As an ENTP, it’s the same. Struggle to decide then order the same thing over and over again in the future to make things easier.
