When this becomes full access, They should do team exploration. The Yogscast Teams each pick a world for separate bases where they can refuel and repair and whatever. If they all start on one world, they help each other get off of it so they can get the separate worlds. Each team builds a base and a capital ship. The teams act as crews. They're job is to explore and find the other teams base. Once the base is destroyed, the team cannot build another and must only rely on their ship and what's in it. The goal is to destroy the capital ship of the other team or make it unusable. My choice for teams would be Team A) Lewis, Sjin, Sips, Martyn, Ross, Trott and Smith And Team B) Kim, Hannah, Duncan, Rythian, Zoe, Fiona and Nilsey. The POV for each team will be uploaded to someone's channel within each team. Complex? Yes. Time Consuming? YES. Fun seeing them fight each other with big capital ships and boarding parties and away missions? You bet.

+Aaron juergens Capital ships can not land on planets, also they are extremely expensive to build, also a small ship with good weapons are extremely powerful and can blow away a capital that doesnt have enough turrets on it yet
Another great but similar idea would be to do basically the same only in 7 days to die

I quite like this series! I love the planetary exploration, as well as all the ridiculous moments that are a staple of the Yogscast.
On a related note, you might want to revisit Space Engineers once planets are released. It might take a while, but that means that there will be even more new features to play with being released in the meantime! :)

Frankly this kind of shows that the Millennium Falcon doesn't seem to be designed well :l
Good marketing strategy though, make a ship that looks so crap it annoys me enough to go buy the game and build a better one.

NebulonBFrigateFTW Yeah it's built a bit like the Caterpillar 797 in some ways; the design by today's standards seems a bit like a cheesy industrial junk ship, but less rust.

you should maybe build a landing pad with the blinking red lights and a helicopter sign(the big "H") and stuff on the side of the base to make sure you don't A.break the landing gears B. crash land C.you didn't land close enough to the base

Most people watch videos in fullscreen, and if they cant bloody see whats on the screen they can just shut their curtains or turn away from the sunlight. lol

+Baleur I disagree, I have my screen brightness at reasonable values and I struggle to see in dark parts of Hannah's videos. I often spend minutes staring at a dark screen in Minecraft or other dark parts of other games. UA-cam itself does something weird to the videos during processing and makes everything darker; they have to fiddle with gamma values to combat that. I'd rather have videos that look a bit odd but I can actually see what's going on, than 3 minutes of pitch black.

they could probably use the gents as their capital ship, just needs a roof and thrusters :P (a hyperdrive (?) and fighters would help too)

i saw that duncan built the falcon the same way he built the gents, only the falcon has engines - does it not work like that in game?

This is pretty damn cool, I like these kinds of videos from the Yogscast. Teamwork, building aircraft, and survival combined into one. I just wish the Yogscast was this competent with Garry's Mod aircraft :P

This is gonna sound like a shameless plug, but Empyrion is REALLY cheap for as gorgeous of a game as it is and how much you can do. Now it's true that I'm not particularly picky about graphics, so I'm no expert in that area, but for the money it looks fantastic. If I get a computer that could run it properly, I might seriously get this.

I saw them playing space engineers, and it just didn't appeal to me as much. They're very similar, but I love the tough survival aspect of Empyrion.
+lelcetz Space Engineers is a good game just your gonna need a really, really good pc to enjoy it properly. My pc runs completely fine in every other game in my steam library except space engineers, everything is smooth until you spawn in your 5th or 6th capital ship or a meteor strike happens or you collide two ships and then your down to 10 fps. Even when they played space engineers they were lagging and they literally have top of the range systems.

plants dont actually need to grow, just use the drill on them as soon as you have planted them, they are fully grown when you plant them

I think you can actually cancel stuff in the constructor, you only have to turn it off before.
They did in 7 episodes what they were meant to do, but still haven't, in Blast Off lol

The thing about the Kessle Run is I always thought it was a mobility course and the racers had to perform various maneuvers in as little space as possible. Time not being a factor?
+Forest Armstrong Well the Kessel Run was a route used by smugglers smuggling spice out of the mines of Kessel where the Imperial forces couldn't reach them. It is not some enclosed valley or race. Han could have just been trying to boast thinking old man Ben didn't have any idea about space travel, lying to make himself look better or it could be a case of he knows the fastest route through the asteroid field known as the pit in the kessel run.

It's just, when I was a kid that was what I thought, and it sorta stuck.
+ghjk9592 as far as I know, (and it's been years now since I've read any of the star wars novels). Smugglers would boast to one another on how fast they could get through the Kessel run. It was indeed a smuggling route that went through an asteroid field. It was a mix of maneuverability and speed to out run and out pace imperial forces. Smugglers would often get together after a run and boast about there times, Han Solo scored the best run but it was always on the honor system on the times being set. It's very likely though Han does in fact have the best time due to the unique shape, design and technology the Falcon has. Has is also an exceptional pilot and knows his ship inside and out. The reason why Han boasts to Ben about his kessel run is because it's a selling point for smugglers. Almost everyone in the galaxy knows about the Kessel run and can use it as a judge of speed and dexterity.
+Stuntman I believe the Kessel Run is through a field of black holes, not asteroids, and maneuvering closer to them was more dangerous but quicker.
I was not doubting his speed at completing the run. It's that a Parsec is a unit of distance not speed so boasting to Ben it was done in 12 parsecs was ever a lying boast or about finding the shortest route
