This Dave is a really good angler. I have been fly fishing for carp for five years almost. I started out like most people feeding dog biscuits and using home spun deer hair flies, great fun. Last two years switched to naturals and hybrid carp flies, John Montana kinda thing. It’s brilliant when you see other people using naturals like hares ear nymph for Silvers. Dave’s water craft Is a refreshing take on coarse fishing. Isaac Walton would be proud of him. Nice video and it takes time to edit these sessions for us to enjoy. Thanks for Sharing both the experience and your knowledge.
Great video. You dont really see fly anglers on the carp lakes normally. Its much more exciting than sitting in a bivy all day waiting for a bite alarm to go off!
Thank you for the insightful video. I am looking at techniques to catch conventional coarse fish on the fly, and this has been really helpful. Awesome carp, by the way 😊

He also landed a bream that evening... we were only there for about two hours around dusk.
Been hanging out for this video!
What size squirmy worms are you using
Dave was using quite small flies, 12-18 from memory.
Great video hope you are going to do more
what does he mean "commercial venue"
Heavily stocked venues mostly geared towards bait anglers. Very rarely do people fish them with a fly rod.
