Can this method stop desire and ego from emerging again? if it doesn't its not nirvana. Nirvana doesn't occur in the intellectual skandha because logic can only show what is not real but its unable to describe what is truth. Thinking about water is never equivalent to drinking water. Buddha's definitive Guru; the one that takes him to enlightment is a Tree.. the Tree symbolizes inner perception of the body (feeliing) so it gives us some clues about where to look for ;)
