    I got the transparent purple one and the anti-glare screen protector. But I haven't even been able to do anything with my switch yet because I need this transparent back in the screen protector so that I can use the tools to take it off and switch out the 60 GB SSD to the 2tb SSD that I got and so that I can keep ice cream clean and undamaged until I get screen protector for them.
    It feels like it's taking forever though!
    Although I do like the transparent ones better I just wish they would have made it totally clear glossy one that was like super see-through instead of having the Smoky colored. So you could really see inside basically equivalent to what your skin looks like.

    • @kbuxtonator5052
      @kbuxtonator5052 Рік тому +5

      @Funnyduck it is true that clear plastics are more expensive but most tech now is glass backed and so would be very easy to make a transparent back for them with virtually no changes. when you say that Jsaux are using cheap material you should reference this as i find nothing related to this and clear plastics are actually slightly stronger than those that are dyed.

      @funnyduck4568 Рік тому +3

      @@kbuxtonator5052 clear plastic might usually be stronger and I am not saying Jsaux isn’t “stronger” but it’s a cheap manufacturing, their backplate often doesn’t align correctly with the steam deck causing triggers to rub against. I've been wanting you to make a video on the scratch resistance of the glossy screen and the non glossy screen in the plastics of the steam deck

    I have been torn between buying a ROG and a steam deck for a long time. Fortunately, I have never made up my mind this year, so luckily I waited until the steam deck OLED version. This is a big win for the WWP.(waiting-waiting party)
    I have a steam deck but is a new OLED version, smokey brown not bad,but White looks good too.

    Hey, I'd have a question: I got on of these backplates on a 2023 revision Motherboard (i think) where the motherboard has a plate on top of it. There is a gap on the top side between the back and front plate and when i try to push it down it just comes back. What can I do? The manual says to press it on a hard object for a while, but is there a safer way, like should i get a thinner heating pad?
    The temp reduction is great though and you can use the plate as a hand warmer (though don't touch it for too long)

    Can you put a case on this? I want to put one on but with how hot the metal on the heat sink gets I would be worried it would damage the case

    I HAVE A STEAM DECK - do you have a used one you would like to sell me for my 7yr old son. I suffer from a chronic leg infection, and have limited mobility. He's been wanting one, and cannot afford one brand new. I understand, if you don't, just figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. Thank you for the content you provide to us.

    I purchased the green after seeing this video from their website. 25$ no tax. Also got the micron 2tb drive from newegg for 173$. My read speds went from 280mbs on the eMMC to 3680mbs on the nvme.
    That hot plate also gets hot. I guess that means it works. It is plenty out of the way to where you don’t feel it. I opted to put the medium buttons for LR4 and the large buttons for the LR5 since my pinky needs to reach if I use 4 fingers on the LR12 buttons.
    This fits snug like a factory shell. I asked them if they would make a faceplate. Perhaps even a gamecube shell since all the nintendo plastics are starting to deteriorate on these old consoles.

    I have a steam deck and I literally just finished upgrading the SSD to a 2TB i found for cheap on aliexpress! Was taking a look at the back panel during the process and, as cool as this clear shell is, I really think the heatsink could be the main selling point here.
    Also, I always thought it was pronounced "jay-souh", not "jay-socks". no idea why, just rolls off the tongue better I guess, not that it matters considering they're Chinese and not French...

    Hey Jerry I love your videos! I HAVE A STEAM DECK and I'd love to have the purple clear shell😁 like yourself I also like to tinker with things, and I'd like to see if I can increase the cooling capabilities of the deck by opening up some vent holes right where the vent is so that it can pull in more air rather than having to work harder by pulling it from the wholes at the bottom right. That would possibly increase cooling, decrease fan noise and rpm, and maybe even increase performance! But for doing so I'd need a spare shell👀

    Pretty cool rear panel swap Zack, JerryRigEverything, picked up a few things from you in the past and this looks like something I would like also... pretty cool. Hope all is well, might put down phone that I use for RetroArch and pick up the deck again, I have a Steam Deck, hope to use it more often now. Much alohas, Keoni.
