    Is it noticeably louder than the stock j-pipe with the same exhaust? Thinking about doing this same set up! Love this video :)

    Did you remove the pill after installing the J-pipe? It seems like you’re not boosting as much as you should be. I didn’t see your Boost go above 13 during these pulls. The restrictor pill can be causing you to under boost.

    • @K03sport

      ...is under boosting safer than over boosting? Does anyone make a restrictor pill with a larger hole?

    Good stuff man. I’m thinking about getting the same exact jpipe. Have you experienced any flames coming out of your exhaust when you get that pop/anti lag as you shift?

    • @maximelecamionneur
      @maximelecamionneur 5 років тому

      Ryan Silva you gotta go catless for flames from what I've read on forums. Debating on getting the same setup but biased on the price point lol 😂

      @@maximelecamionneur uhh no you don’t. Whoever told you that is stupid. Sure it may help, but you can still get flames with a cat, hell even stock OEM cats you can on some cars. It all depends on the tune and how rich the car is running. All the flames is unburnt fuel being dumped into a hot exhaust. My r32 GTR spits flames but that’s not because I have no cats, but because of the tune that was on the car.
      Cat vs catless. The amount of flames you’re gonna be able to spit is the same. Again it’s all down to the tune and how the car is running at the time

    Kyle, appreciate the update vid. In the market for a TurboXS catted DP and mdi pipe myself. Curious if you are running the OEM cat back? Also, any dyno numbers to post?
    I currently have the COBB intake installed and decided to get dyno tuned do to some horrific knock readings (-11.98). Sitting at 260+ whp and 280+ wtq. Curious what the downpipe will yield power wise...
    Planning on also installing Process West Khanacooler TMIC, TGV & EGR deletes at the same time as the downpipe.

      Fuel Requirements:
      93 octane or better
      Intake Requirements: COBB Tuning BigSF Intake and Airbox System (Part # 745100 for 2015-2017, Part #745110 for 2018)
      Exhaust Requirements:
      Upgraded J-pipe with high flow catalytic converter
      Upgraded cat-back exhaust (stock exhaust acceptable)
      Boost Control Requirements: Deleted 2nd restrictor pill (between Tee and wastegate actuator).
      Boost Targets: ~20.5psi peak boost pressure tapering down as you approach the 6900RPM redline, +/- 1.5psi.
      No fuel line upgrade required. - In fact the Full Stage 2+ package doesn't come with any fuel line upgrade parts. Hope that helps answering your question.

    Question. I have a 13 wrx 2.5 with cobb everything but stock j pipe, is a catless j pipe INSTALL a good idea or will it throw codes and cause problems on the car? I don't wanna mess up my engine if it disrupts some kind of exhaust flow, I done heard it from my dad about having no mufflers on the car or something that it would burn up the valves or something and that turbos don't like straight pipes but I'm just wondering I don't want my car to be quiet if it don't have to be but I don't wanna lose power either and cause engine trouble over time? Thoughts?

    • @maxlancaster665
      @maxlancaster665 5 років тому

      Keaton Hipp you need a tune with any sort of aftermarket j pipe. Especially with catless.

    • @keaton_mcrae
      @keaton_mcrae 5 років тому

      Max Lancaster mines already got COBB tuning and cobb everything else, air intake, turbo, IAG h20 separator and much more already on the car

    • @maxlancaster665
      @maxlancaster665 5 років тому

      Keaton Hipp it will need to be protuned again, because catless j pipes are finicky. Beware though, some tuners will not tune for catless j pipes so I would check with your tuner first. The tuner will be able to “delete” (not sure if the correct word) all of the codes that the j pipe may throw.
